• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The new schedule does not help us much. It is still once a year--DW does not put 3k a year on it. I'll keep doing my own oil changes, and check with them about software updates.......

    carry a pistol?

While the vehicle is an extension of your domicile here in TX, as soon as you stop somewhere you either have to carry it with you (Concealed Carry Permit required) or leave it on your bike (and how secure is that??) so no, I do not see myself carrying....

    Grommet and 'spike'

I broke the spike and lost the grommet for this attachment point on the left panel. I found the link to these grommets--I can use the extras for my VTX 1800. http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=2245&str=4 What, other than at the dealer, is a good source for a new plastic spike to go...

When the Dimmer Switch was on the floor

I have a ddm hid for my motorcycle. It installed well and functioned well. OIL CHANGE VIDEO??

I just did our 2010 RT se5. The panels are the annoying part. The SE5 needs 2 filters, just over 4qts oil. I advise getting goldplugs to replace the stock.drain plugs. Warm engine. The main filter needs to be manouvered into place around the shift linkage. It is not hard, just be sure the...

    5 Stars for Bajaron

Issues with stock parts are not unique to BRP or any manufacturer / product. I doubt anyone would truly bash BRP and still ryde. That said, anyone into tinkering and modifying will always try to upgrade the product from the stock "ok" parts to (hopefully) better ones. Most anyone on this forum...

    Turn Signal Light Indicator Brightness

Here in TX they can be amber if they are TS only. If they are on and rear facing at any other time they need to be red. Seems easy to tap the existing wiring/ signals and get better visibility.

    Stripped oil drain bolt head

Thanks. I left the panel off when I put it back together. I also found that the plastic around the bolt hole holding the black deflector below the oil tank access panel is broken. I will make a bigger washer to hold it on. Not worth buying a whole new panel for....... Update: Ordered new drain...

    Stripped oil drain bolt head

2010 RT SE5. I took the side panels off and the splash pan off to change the oil and filters. It is a 1 year change, not yet 3k miles. Had the 600 mile service done at the dealer. Drained the oil tank fine. When I went to loosen the engine drain plug the wrench just spun. The friggin dealer...
