• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rear Tire and Dyna Beads

FYI: I might be the only one but I had trouble with the beads getting stuck in the stems and causing leaks. I gave up on them. You are getting much better mileage out of rear tires than I am. I am interested to see how you like the Toyo tire.

    Electric Park Brake problem

I guess the battery was a little low, or I was holding the button down too long. The little woman rode the RT Sunday and had no probs with the park brake and it works good for me now. Thanks everyone!!

    Electric Park Brake problem

I try not to use the parking brake on the RS - SM5 - the back brake seems to start squeaking if I use the park brake. On this RT SE5 we use the parking brake all the time. I do however leave the park brake off when the RT is parked in the garage for lengthy time periods (like winter) so I can...

    Electric Park Brake problem

Thanks all. I decided I haven't time to dig into it today after all. I will just use it (the park brake) as little as possible for now. It is sitting on the trailer now with the brake on. I just hope I can get the brake off when it is time to unload!

    Electric Park Brake problem

A search showed no results. My park brake is being finnicky. It won't react with a single push of the button - multiple attempts are required. I am worried it will stay on sometime and not release at all. I suspect e relay. What do you guys think? Can someone tell me which relay it would be? A...

    Summer trip Colorado

Thanks again guys for all the great responses. I will take this to my riding partners on April 2nd and see if the interest is still there. There are lots of place to see and go to. If we get down that way I will get back to the Colorado riders with our itinerary and see how that works.

    Summer trip Colorado

Thank you guys for your input. I will be talking to the other parties in April and see if this will still be our destination and then start planning. Really appreciate your input to get the others interested in this destination.

    Summer trip Colorado

Would like some info on Colorado. My group that I do my Summer vacation trips with are thinking of touring Colorado this summer. We would like to set up a base camp concept, we usually tent it and would like to set up where there are showers and laundry facilities and 110 volt sites. We would do...

    Cody, WY question

Just did the Chief Joseph and the Beartooth last Year. Beartooth from Red Lodge to Cooke City and then from Cooke City we went on the Chief Joseph to get back to Red Lodge. The second is the longer route but the Beartooth had two construction delays. I had done the Beartooth previously 2 or 3...

    Question for Canadian riders

What part of Canada are you wanting to ride? Or is this just a curiosity question? I have not heard of a law forbidding motorcycling in Alberta. I know a guy that rides his KLR year round in Calgary, Alberta. There aren't very many days between November and March that are warm enough to ride and...

    warranty question

I am not familiar with the procedure for the canisterectomy or what ever procedure he may have used, but if you have all the parts you need I think I would re-install them when taking it in for warranty work. Do you know if the previous owner was ever denied warranty on that unit? There may be a...

BT headset Scala older model Q2 online clearance FYI

I bought the Gluepad to attach mine. Doesn't work on all helmets. You might try that. I had to get it straight from Cardo.

RTS Right and Left turn Dissimilar

Have you done the easy stuff yet - tire pressures. On my trip last weekend it seemed like the RT would kinda dart a bit on straightaways and twitch on some curves. My daughters were following behind me and said they thought one front tire was lower than the other. It was. I levelled them out at...

    ST-1 Helmet.

I got the ST-1 last week. I got it without the chin guards. I have found there is a bit of wind in the face from crosswinds, so I am looking for the long visor. I ordered one online @ Bucks in NY. They emailed back today to say they didn't have one and would be at least October - that was the...

Updated Info on RT/RS SE5 clutch "fix" campaign

Had my clutch recall performed on Monday July 12th. Even though I had no problems with it. Picked the RT up Wednesday July 14. The clutch is smoother but, also when I back into my garage now I don't seem to need as much throttle and take offs seem a little more - oh I dunno firmer...

    rear trunk on RT-S

I haven't had that happen. You may have to take the rear tupperware off and look to see if the cable has come off. If you installed the trailer hitch you may have an idea of what to take off. Good luck with this one.:(

    Cracked Header pipe

Might be a good idea for all RT ryders to check this weld as pictured in the above post. Our symptoms weren't that noticeable and the crack on ours (in the same weld as in the pic) wasn't that visible. You could have this & not even know it.
