• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rain gear

Was in Marion two days ago. On the way down I got caught in the rain. Put on the FrogToggs, stayed dry. However found at speed on the interstate they 'balooned' so much that I had to get off and ride the frontage roads (at a lot lower speeds). I think I'll keep the 'Toggs", but will invest in a...

    Whats with the Flashing Lights?

I proscribe to the philosophy that Lemmy over on RevZilla's blog holds to. "To avoid 'road rage' I stop on the side of the road (in a safe place) and eat a couple of gummy bears."

Integrated brake/signal kit for Givi/BRP hardbags?

Check out this thread. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?82182-Givi-Monts&highlight=Givi My experience with the Admore lights starts at post #13. I later added a third row of leds (from Admore) to the set in the Givi's. I heartily recommend them.

    Does your BUTT hurt?

Dave, I notice all of the folks who have posted and your installation instructions all refer to RT seats. I'm concerned about the width. I believe an RT seat is wider than a GS/RS Ultimate. Are the gel pads only one size or is there a selection ?

    Does your BUTT hurt?

Has anyone added one to an 'Ultimate' seat ? Or rather would it be proper to consider doing this to an 'Ultimate' ?

    Givi Monts

    BRP saddlebag question and comment

Mine are GIVI, but the same. Mine came with 'black metallic'. The covers come off very easily by removing the small phillips screws on the inside of the lid. Be careful replacing the screws. Don't tighten them so much that you strip the threads. They're just in plastic of the lid. Some pics on...

    Zumo 590

I would really like to save some of my tracks. I've tried and want to use Basecamp. However, it insists on installing on my C: drive which is a SSD and only 60G. I have very few G left on it. Garmin and their forums have been no help. There are supposedly ways to install on other drives but I...

NOVEL IDEA - FOR ALL WHO ASK QUESTIONS

About the 'thanking' and 'liking', this is the only web forum that I frequent that has that little feature. So if I haven't 'thanked' or 'liked' in the past it was because I didn't know it was there.:opps: I do post a reply thanking most always. Now there are two ways. Thanks...

    Fuel Issue

You sure someone isn't sneaking in at night and siphoning off the gas for their lawn mower/snowblower ?:roflblack: ( I know you lock your garage and take the Spyder key with you. Just funnin'. )

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

I'm really imaginative. I call mine 'the spyder' (lower case).

Swapping stock rear turn signals with LEDS

The AdMore Lighting LED kit for the Givi bags is what I went with. Fairly easy to install. This pix shows how I initially installed mine. I have since added two additional LED strips* in each panel on the bags and changed out the incandescent bulbs to LEDs. (*additional strips from AdMore -...

    Rivco peg mounts/forward pegs

Reviving an old post . . . . . A question for RDWII and/or MotorcycleDave . . . . . . Removing the left and right forward bolts was a piece of cake. Replacing the left one so-so, not hard. But how in the 'Blue Suzy' did you get the right 80mm bolt back in ? Instructions start on the left...

Finally found what to replace the safety card with...

Super idea ! I have been wondering how to mount my dash cam I received for Christmas. This gives me a new approach. The mount that came with it won't quite work on a curved windscreen.

    Gremlyn Bell

Do they still work for you if one came with the bike ? After I bought my Spyder (used), while looking through the frunk, I found a bell with a tag attached that gave the story of the bell.
