• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does your BUTT hurt?

Don't you just hate that pain in your BUTT ? Well I may be able to help you with that, like I have others.
I have the #1 best cure for the hot spots/ pressure points that seem to come on after
an hour or 2 of riding. I have a simple do it yourself CONFORMAX GEL and memory foam pad I have made
especially for me by a leading medical equipment company that make hospital bed pads and other
items using medical GEL such as Gurneys and wheelchair pads for the seat.
I have them made with memory foam on top of the GEL, when you install this into your seat
your seat is transformed into something you can sit on for hours and hours....
I have been doing Gel installs for over 30 years and people love it because it works.
Price around for pads that you put on top of your seat they usually cost more and are easily STOLEN
Some seat companies making seats for motorcycles charge up words of a thousand dollars for a GEL seat.
You can do this mod yourself for ONLY $79.95 and about 2 hours of your time... Give it a try, ask anyone here
on this forum or the BMW or GoldWing Forums about them they just work. Below are some pictures sent in
by forum members who installed the Gel/memory foam pad into their RT seats and one I did with a cut out
for a broken tail bone. the other one is Robby's seat in Canada I built using his stock seat it features gel front
and back with custom upholstery, I can even install a seat heater in them if you like or I can supply them and
you can also DO IT YOURSELF....

I bought one from Dave and installed it myself. It made a 2 hour seat into an all day seat. It was fun figuring out how to do it and if you look at the seat you can't tell it has ever been changed but you can tell when you sit on it.

:agree: Except I paid an auto upholstery guy a few bucks to install mine because I didn't want to deal with all the staples. If you have a good staplegun, it wouldn't be a difficult job at all. I used to ride with an AirHawk-R air cushion. Now I leave that at home because Dave's gel cushion insert is so much more comfortable. And as Paul said above, it's invisible.

Gotta say, this cushion has become one of my most favorite mods. See my write-up on it HERE.

Has anyone added one to an 'Ultimate' seat ? Or rather would it be proper to consider doing this to an 'Ultimate' ?

I believe that Ultimate Seats are glued and not stapled (like the BRP seats) so I would not be sure. Not sure just how much glue they use.

Dave, I notice all of the folks who have posted and your installation instructions all refer to RT seats.
I'm concerned about the width. I believe an RT seat is wider than a GS/RS Ultimate. Are the
gel pads only one size or is there a selection ?

Not sure if Dave sells different sizes, but the pad can be trimmed if needed. I had to trim a little piece off each end because I put it a tad further forward on my seat than the pad was designed for.

I don't have much first hand experience with breast implants :sour:, but Dave's gel pad is a soft yet solid gel that won't leak if cut. Also, it looks like the pictures in the first post shows two different seats – an ST and an RT. So he probably does have different sizes on hand.

Recommend that you give Dave a call. His number is In that first post above, and he's always ready to answer questions from Spyder owners.

Dave can you take a OEM RT seat and convert it to a "like" Ultimate seat by adding the 2" plus your seat padding? Not including any shipping time, what is your turnaround time back to the customer? Thanks for your great work and support.
