• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Lamonster RTW Project- Drift HD170

Lamont, when you drilled the holes in the deflectors, did you use a special drill bit, or just one that was sharp? I've never drilled a hole in plastic and want to be sure I don't crack it. Also, is there a technique that should be used, such as start out at a lower/faster RPM, etc...

    Mounting a Zumo up high

That's my biggest concern and why I wanted to know if anyone has used a suction mount. I've read quite a few threads where SL's have mounted their cameras on the body of the :spyder2: using suction mounts without any issues and wondered if the same stability held true for a GPS unit on the...

    Mounting a Zumo up high

Ah, yes...the dreaded curvature of the windshield :gaah:. Yep, sounds like my only options are to use a disc or bolt a Ram ball to the dash. Thanks Scotty!

    Mounting a Zumo up high

Has anyone ever used a Ram suction cup mount, like this? http://www.gpscity.com/ram-mount-garmin-nuvi-7xx-pivot-suction-cup-mount.html There is only one review on it at GPS City and it's not very favorable. I was thinking of mounting my Nuvi to the left side of the windshield using this...

    Libby's Mods

My latest mod is installing a hidden garage door opener. I purchased a keychain opener and thought a lot about where the best place to put it would be. I knew that wherever I put it, it would need to be protected from rain and water. I also knew that I needed to come up with some kind of...

    Libby's Mods

It took several weeks, but I finally finished carpeting the interior of my Aluma MCT trailer. I started with 1/2" foam board, used 3M spray adhesive to glue it to the sides, then adhered indoor/outdoor carpet (runners, with rubber backing). I chose to put the ribbed style on the floor with the...

Ram mount for GPS is done. I mounted it using Scotty's method in the "Simple Ram Mount for RT" thread. I haven't had a chance to use it much because the weather hasn't been cooperating lately, but I'm thinking I might mount it to the top of the dash if it doesn't work out on the handle bars.

    Helmet issue.. Would like advice

If your cheek pads are removable, you can soak them in water and set something heavy on them over night (like a brick). This worked well for me with one of my Shoei helmets.

    Cell Phone interface

Athough I don't know for sure, I would bet that only the 2012 LTD comes with the bluetooth interface since it only works in conjunction with the navigation harness.

    Ride On Tire Protectant

I would imagine the only way to tell if the tires already have Ride-on in them is to remove the valve stem, stick a thin shaft screwdriver or some other kind of tool and scrape the tire well, if the tool comes out with orange gunk on it then you have Ride-on in the tire. :dontknow:

    Handlebar riser for the RT

If the picture shows something that looks like a triangular block, then it's for an RS. I have heard, though, that the 2012 RT LTD may have different handlebars that angle inward a little. A friend was given a 2012 LTD as a loaner and she said the handlebars felt much more comfortable than the...
