• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trailer wiring

Does anyone know where I can get a cable to connect my Spyder RT to my non Spyder trailer? It must have the Spyder plug on one end (the end that plugs into the Spyder) and the other end needs to be a four prong flat plug. I have tried all over and no one seems to have a connector that will plug into the Spyder hitch. Thank

Sorry, Anita. That adapts the RT-622 connector to a 4-wire tow vehicle. :lecturef_smilie:

To connect the Spyder connector to a 4-wire trailer, you can use a 2011/2012 RT-622 Pole Harness (P/N 710002442), or you can purchase the mating Deutsch connector, pins, blank plugs, and crimping pliers from an online supplier. You will also need a 4-wire vehicle-side connector from the local auto parts or trailer store. Use these to make your own adapter. If you prefer, you can just cut off the existing trailer connector, and wire the Pole Harness (or Deutsch connector) directly to the trailer. Be sure and leave enough cable to reach the Spyder connector, which is farther from the hitch than is typical.
