• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ride On Tire Protectant

Howdy...I read a thread a while back about Ride On tire protectant and have a few questions.

1. Since I bought my RT used, how would I check to see if Ride On is already in my tires?
2. If I add Ride On in my tires, does it come with instructions? OR can someone tell me how to insert the stuff?

Thanks...

I can't think of any good way to determine whether a tire contains Ride-On without dismounting the tire. If the tire has no wheel weights, however, chances are good that it does contain Ride-On...or something equivalent. That doesn't mean that the tires with wheel weights don't have any, but many folks have removed the weights and let the Ride-On do the work. Excess Rid-On can cause problems. If I didn't know, I would wait until after I got new tires to do the Ride-On. JMHO

I would imagine the only way to tell if the tires already have Ride-on in them is to remove the valve stem, stick a thin shaft screwdriver or some other kind of tool and scrape the tire well, if the tool comes out with orange gunk on it then you have Ride-on in the tire. :dontknow:
