The dealer where I bought my Spyder has one person, a young kid, who does all the maintenance. If you call and say you want to schedule service on a Spyder, and he is busy, you get put on hold . . . and after several minutes, someone will pick up the phone and say: "He must be busy, call back" and hang up without taking a message . . . that is their idea of customer service.
I brought my 2013 RT Limited in for the recall in the Fall of 2013, where they insulated the charcoal canister, and master cylinder. My parking brake cable had melted and they had to replace it, as well as the charcoal canister and the master cylinder . . . and when I got it home, discovered that the new parking brake cable was not connected to the rear brake . . . and the assembly to which it would connect was missing . . . that is their idea of quality maintenance
I had to take my Spyder to a custom trike shop to get the state inspection, because the dealership does not do inspections . . . or even get them done for customers buying new Spyders from them . . . more of their idea of customer service
Everyone I know with a Spyder in the area has lost all confidence in them for maintenance . . .
Yet, BRP lists them as "Gold"
I strongly expect it is all about how many dollars they make for BRP, because they sell a lot of Spyders . . . as they undercut all the other dealers in the vicinity on new Spyder price.
