• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone tried Different Batteries, like a NOCO 600A Lithium? How is it working?

My original 2020 YUASA battery died in 2021. I put in a cheap Oreilly AGM battery just to keep me going. As preventative maintenance in the fall of 2023 I replaced the cheap Oreilly AGM battery and installed the NOCO NLP 20. I put it on a battery tender designed for the NOCO battery.
As an aside, I gave a friend of mine the Oreilly AGM battery since her YUASA had died after about 7 years of service. So, repeating the story, I installed the NOCO NLP 20 in the fall of 2023.
The NOCO died, suddenly with no warning, in the spring of 2024. Dead, No warning. I replaced it with an Oreilly AGM battery as before. All is good.
And the original AGM Oreilly battery is still going strong in my friends' bike. Go figure.

The Noco Genius1 is selectable for Lead Acid, AGM, and Lithium. It sells for about $28. NOC0 NP20 IS 600 CCA. I have not had any problems with either.

Did you try to get the battery replaced under warranty?

It still should have had some on it as it comes with a 5 year warranty as long as it was purchased from a dealer and only 1 year if not.

According to the Warranty Coverage Section on Page 183 of my 2024 Spyder RT Operator's guide:

3. For the battery, SIX (6) CONSECUTIVE MONTHS.

My dealer tried to sell me an "extended service warranty" on the battery in my Spyder.
They wanted US $400 for three years of coverage. I declined the battery warranty.

I recently had to replace the battery in my Spyder, after I stupidly left the key turned on overnight, which killed the original battery.

I bought a replacement battery from Batteries Plus for US $119.

The battery I bought is an Xtreme 24HL-BS with 350CCA and 21AH capacity.

I put an Odyssey PC680 in 6 months ago. It's working just fine. It does not have quite the CCA of the OEM battery, but I chose the PC680 based on its longevity in my motorcycles. The last one I changed out on the R1200C lasted 7½ years. Comparing that to the last Yuasa that lasted only a little over three years and the choice was easy.
had an Odyssey pc680 in my BMW R100 and it failed at just under 5 years. Called the people I got it from and all I had to do was pay freight on the replacement and they sent me a new one! but for some reason I'd read they dont work well on spyders else Id have gotten one for it. These NOCO look like the ****!
