Perhaps I interpreted previous posts about this subject incorrectly, but I was under the impression the FIX is currently being evaluated by NHTSA, i.e. they want to make sure the FIX is a true FIX. No sense in NHTSA approving something that isn't permanent.Scotty had a good idea in another post. File a complaint with the NHTSA to get them to move their approval process along.
I liked the one post wondering which "bean counter" approved the original 2013 design. I am not an engineer, but just looking at the close proximity of the exhaust to the plastic parts AND knowing from previous model years complaints about high heat coming off the exhaust, it doesn't make sense this passed the smell test let alone trained design engineers.
Thanks for posting the pics for the 2013. Does anyone know how this is different from 2012's? Any pictures to compare?
