• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Windshield vent

I was at my dealers last week and noticed the 2013 RT windscreen had 2 openings cut into it on the lower side of the windscreen. I assume they were there to serve as vents. The 2012 windscreen mount looks the same as the 2013. Has anyone tried drilling holes where those mount openings are on the bottom of the windscreen for vents. I don't want to give up the width and height of the 2012 windscreen and thought this might be an inexpensive way to get less buffeting and a more pleasurable ride. I would be interested in anyone's thought before I start drilling.

If you've got the tools, time, and talent; it seems like a winner! :2thumbs:
Please let us know how it comes out.
I switched to the 2013 windshield to get those vents; they DO reduce buffeting significantly!
(My 2010 "barn door" was scratched to the point of replacement)

If you assume normal riding gear; none!
It just lets a bit of air come up in behind the windshield from another angle, and it seems to reduce buffeting...
