Why are they called Spyders?

I mean, there is the Ski-Doo, and the Sea-Doo. Shouldn't they be called Land-Doos? Or Road-Doos?

BTW, I have a brand new 2013 ST-S sitting in the garage, waiting for this winter weather to break. Just picked it up Wednesday from Pitbull in Springfield.

All I've done is back it off the trailer and pull it into the garage.

They are called SPYDER because it can stand on 3 stance. SPIDER have 8:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

:congratsn the purchase of your new STS. I believe any bike with the wheels in back are call a trike. And the front wheel models are called roadsters, they are Morgan's and Spyders. But I don't think that a Morgan has all the high tech items on it like the Spyder has. Have a great one! Ride Safe!
