• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New to me. 2013 ST that is bone stock.

I want to add a few comfort bits.
I need help with placement of the bits as follows:
1. Voltmeter
2. Garage door opener or the switch anyway. Simple small waterproof 3/4" pushbutton.
3. Gear for heated grips. Is there a standard connection in the wiring harness? what about placement of the controller?
4. Driving lights most importantly were to put the switch and where to find the wiring in the harness.

Thanks to all,

You need to purchase the Green Manual online for your year and model spyder. This will show you the wiring schematic and where you can locate the wires you need to attach the accessories that you want.

The wiring harness also has tap in's for heated grips. The harness has plug ins for ALL the accessories available from BRP, even though you don't have it currently on your bike.

This will allow you to add OEM accessories such as cruise control to models that don't have that as an option; in plug and play fashion. So no tapping into the wiring harness is needed, the connections are already there with factory plugs!!!

If you search the forum for garage door openers you should find more than one option; I have a small one that attaches to my keyring that controls mine. Cost was less than $15.00.

Same for the voltmeter, others before you have done most of what you want to accomplish and will lead you in the right direction.

Check "finless Bob's" videos, even though he has an RT a lot of what he shows is applicable to other models with slight variation from his presentations.

Oh by the way, Welcome to the best place on the web for all things Spyder!!
