• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What tunes are on your playlist?

Oh shoot...
Nugent:
Stranglehold
Dog Eat Dog
Blue Oyster Cult:
Cities On Flame
Godzilla
Buck's Boogie
Black Sabbath:
War Pigs
Paranoid
Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath
AC/DC:
Highway To Hell
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
For Those About To Rock
Hell's Bells
Shoot To Thrill

And then there's all the rest; Sammy Hagar, Yngwie J Malmsteen, Uriah Heep, Jethro tull, Pink Floyd, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower...
Pretty much anything that'll loosen up the wax in your ears after about 4 bars! :2thumbs:

It ain't cerebral; it's just rock 'n roll!

Wow !! Looks a little like what my playlist would look like. Throw in some Iron Maiden, Black Label Society, Led Zeppelin, and pre Black album Metallica and id be all set.

:shocked:i've got them here also...

I liked the real early Led Zeppelin stuff; then they got just a bit too bluesy for me...
iron maiden; sounds like a food processor knawing on a pig bone!

How about "The Black Keys" when they were still a 2 piece band? Their music is not the same crap you hear all over the radio. You do hear it in commercials though, Pepsi Co. used several of their songs without asking and got sued for it. There songs are all over TV and most people don't even realize they know them.

I'm 59 and have music ranging from the Beatles, genesis, yes, ELP, zepplin to nirvana, foo fighters, ,megadeath, etc

I even have some Sinatra in there for mellow moments

After some events at church basically killed any desire to even HEAR any music let alone play it, I went something between a year and six months without wanting to listen to anything. Then someone posting a video of a violinist named Lindsey Stirling. And her music did something no music had done in what felt like a very long time.... It moved me and started healing my soul. I've downloaded her entire library and stripped her music from a few of her videos she wasn't allowed to sell. Her music is the only stuff I listen to while riding now.

Here is one of her songs.

"Pre Black album Metallica"

Every album they did after that should have gone under the name 'The Band Formerly Called Metallica.

She popped up my pandora playlist a month or so ago, I love her music!

If you like Lindsey Stirling, try the all female group called Bond. They each play a different electric string instrument and play classical songs with a modern beat.

As for my playlist I have over 500 gigs of music, listening to everything from Deep Purple and Black Sabbath to the Carpenters and Josh Groban. I've been stuck on Supertramp's 'Breakfast in America' lately, but finally switched to The Bangles. Next up is REO Speedwagon.

I had to laugh last night. I had just filled up the spyder and was driving along with my iPod on shuffle when Bat Outta Hell started playing! At the stop sign I had to take a picture.

Yikes, that image was huge (note to self, objects in posts are larger than they appear on an iPhone!). Resized :)

Speaking of that song; did you know that the Lady who sang with him in it had a role in "Night Court" when it firwt came out?

Ellen Foley is the female who sang with him on the album. She was on Night Court until replaced by Markie Post. In the video it is Karla Devito who is singing with him.

I have probably got more speeding tickets to Deep Purple than any other band:lecturef_smilie:. Just always makes me want to drive like a cross between Richard Petty and Mad Max.:trike:
