• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My new favorite, macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Thrift shop. :)
Before my last business trip, I asked my kid to update my iPod and ended up with few of Mackelmore's songs. All good. I also learned that my son has the wieredst taste in music; he could have hard core rock, hip hop, house and some weird sounding stuff all in one playlist. Falling asleep on an overnight was not an option while listening to Rolling Stones to Jay Z to Pink Floyd to Alex Fox and then to something called Five Finger Death Punch, which would scare the crap out of the dead. Needless to say, I will be taking care of my own music from now on.

Several years ago I had the same experience as Julian. I ask my son to burn a CD of some of the music that I like. About half way through the CD my son put Jay Z's song uncut version of "Big Pimpin" and another rap artist. My son could not wait until I got home that night from my travels. He got a big laugh from his joke.

Tunes on play list

Red Headed Stranger - Willie Nelson
Are You Sure Hank Did It This Way - Waylon Jennings
In My Own Mind - Lyle Lovett
Hurt - Johnny Cash
A Day In The Life - The Beatles
Symphony For The Devil - The Rolling Stones
The Magic Bus - The Who
The Motorcycle Song - Arlo Guthrie
All Along The Watch Tower - Bob Dylan ( Jimi Hendrix does a GREAT version of the tune)
I Heard Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye
Werewolf In London - Warren Zeavon

Honorable Mention would be any cuts from The Phantom of the Opera or O Brother, Were Art Thou. Tom Petty and Lynyrd Skynyrd would need to be included in this honorable mention.

Good one! My son broke into my United Airlines account and changed my profile to have vegetarian meals served. He did that before I got on a trip that covered close to 30,000 miles of flying on all United flights. Couldn't figure out why I am being served vegetarian curry on half the flights, till I landed somewhere and had a text from him that said "Hope you enjoyed your veggies!". As for music, I am 40, and grew up listening to everything my father had the collection of, but not to the extend of what I hear coming out of my son's room. Specially now, he got into DJing, and I never thought that you can make Nina Simone or Elvis sound the way he is making them sound. Odd generation!
