• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. What are the maintenance expectations on either a Spyder F3-S or F3-T?

Hey folks!

Hoping to pull the trigger on my first bike ever very soon. Looking at a used '24 Spyder F3-S or a '19 F3-T. No experience with motorcycles but in my 20’s I did test drive a Can Am and instantly fell, too young, not enough credit established, blah blah. Fwd, I’m older and ready. Done my homework and I know what I like, but I'm always willing to learn more and get advice from experienced riders.

• What can I roughly expect in maintaining these types above? Oil changes, tires, etc; dealership or cycle shop

• Can I assume these typical services would be around 3K mi and tire tread wear?

This would be a daily driver (2nd vehicle), 10-20 mi daily with the occasional wknd ride (work is 15 min away) Las Vegas area def has a few close shops. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and I have some decent mechanical DIY experience, and a decent stock of tools.
Ready to ride, but I wanna make a good, financially responsible decision, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

They are not hard to do typical maintenance like oil changes and some tire installations. Oil change takes place at 3,000 for the first one and 9,200 afterwards. Some do it more often, but I have found it to be fine at 9,200 or once a year. Tires should last (on average) 10k-15k miles or possibly more. I have found that car tires get more milage. I also suggest the F3T over the F3S, due to it having some standard items that make daily driving more comfortable. Things like a windshield, stereo, better suspension (stock) for riding 2up, etc. Now, those things can be added to the F3S, but then you are looking at extra cost to get what might be standard on the F3T. Good luck shopping.

Thank you. I’m gonna have fun shopping and test driving
