• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RTS 13 LOVE TO FARKEL :shemademe_smilie:

I am 53, and riding a 2014 RTS-SE6. ( Cognac)

Riding my spyder has opened up a " New avenue" meeting new people going to spyder events/ on the road, seeing the U.S.A. My current spyder is my 2nd one. I am having fun!

By the time I get one I'll be 35, but I'm interested in an RTS. I had a Gixxer 1000 and did all the wild and stupid stuff on it. I still think I'd love to have one if I could make it work but I've always liked the touring bikes. Riding on two wheels with a passenger sucks so the Spyder really caught my attention since the wife suggested it might be fun to get a cruiser (someday). I also like the idea that it can ride in the weather where the 2-wheeler might leave me in a ditch. I've hit the pavement a couple times so I'm old enough to know I don't want to try it again!

Lastly, I like the idea of riding free in the HOV lane. Anybody who has driven on the 95 here on the east coast can tell you that the stretch between Fredericksburg and Baltimore is probably the worst chunk of roadway in the country, or maybe even the world for that matter. So it makes total sense to bike it. Unfortunately, the rain and snow keep most bikes garaged for 6 months out of the year. Thankfully, I'm not a wuss! (Haha, go Navy!)

So upon voting in the poll at the top of the page I realized that I'm literally the only 20 something year old so far. Me and my wife are both 25 and I was thinking about this as I was on my way home tonight. I bought my spyder when I was 21, I bought one young but a medical condition always prevented me from riding a motorcycle, so the spyder was one of my only options. It was a pretty penny but worth it.

I'm 66 and the wife is.................................younger;). Both are DAV's. I gave up 2-wheels in 2012. :doorag:

I'll be 68 next month. I'm on my third Spyder, they've opened up a whole new world of fun. Life is good.

You guys must make quite an impression as you cruise through town on those. :b2b:

You are the second husband & wife DAV team, with TWO Spyders, in this thread. My sincere thanks to all FOUR of you for your service to our country!
