• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you say I have a Spyder people think Yikes eight legs and fuzzy and start looking for the can of Raid or recommend an exterminator, slingshot kinda works because it is logical and has the shape of a slingshot but that name has been taken by Polaris. Reverse trike causes brain freeze. 3 wheeler not well either people think trike with 2 real wheels in back. So it seems People just have to learn a Spyder relates to these critters and let it go at that or..........:dontknow:

I'll just describe it as a "Can Am"...
I don't care what other people think it is; I KNOW that it's a ton of fun! :D

Ive never had that problem, Just the opposite, people compliment my spyder everywhere I go to the point where I feel like Im running from the popperatzi. Im sure most here feel the same way.

I call it "Velocity Therapy." Zooooom!
Or...

WIND THERAPY!

Here is another one, when we go out with our Pit Bull Shirts or hoodies most people think we have pit bull dogs. So we just roll with it, Jim

Here's the thing....

Call it what it is...A Roadster... There are other vehicles out there called spyders/spiders which is a model name for a brand. I first caught wind of it as a can am roadster and still find it to be more of a lobster than a spyder...:roflblack:

I'm reluctant to use the term, "Roadster" to describe them... nojoke

To me; THIS is a roadster!

Sandra

I call mine "Sandra", which leads to the question "Are you a straight man now?". No I am still a gay man and here is a picture of my Sandra. Sandra is the pet name of my Can-Am Spyder. When I show picture of her from my phone the picture tells the rest of the story. Most people that know I have a Spyder and know the pet name, will ask me "How's Sandra?"

Its a.....

Sorry dude, but it's a SPYDER! Can Am Spyder, Spyder RT, Spyder ST or whatteva... SPYDER. I guess it's time to break out the Raid...:)

We refer to ours as "the bike"...It's hard to get away from calling it that after calling the two wheeler "the bike" for so long. I know what it is, that's all that matters

I constantly have people come up and say "I love your bike!" My wife and I both call it the bike or the motorcycle. Don't need to call it anything else.
