There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What did you do to your Spyder today?

Ryding to Genoa today for lunch. That's Genoa, Nv., not the Genoa in Italy.;)

Did all the pre ryde checks yesterday and found my high mount brake light didn't work. One of the wirers had broken at the trunk lid. repaired both wires and cushioned them well.

Went and got gas after draining the tank on Tuesdays ride. It was pouring down rain yesterday and today was nice, sunny, and cool. Gas was $4.89 for Premium with my fuel rewards discount.

And I mean this in the nicest possible way - you suck.

Gas yesterday was $6.059. I haven't see it that low since March. But hey, we have a "high speed train" to nowhere.

I really dunno what you lot are complaining about... 🤨

Here in my part of South Oz, even with the Fuel Excise Relief package we got last month, until just recently we were been paying the equivalent of about $12 a US Gallon for our Std non-ethanol ULP (91 RON, basically the same as your 87 AKI Octane), up to about $1.00/gall more more for 95 RON (your 91 AKI); and a fair bit more again for our 98 RON Premium (your 93 AKI Octane - only I didn't pay attention to the price on our 98 Ron, cos I only use that on track/test days of late, and recently, I've only being doing that sorta thing in cars & 4WD's, with someone else paying! ;)) And due to the mods my V-Twin Spyder runs, I can get substantially better performance and fuel economy when running 95 RON than I can even riding ultra conservatively when running 91 RON! :cautious:

Admittedly, the price for ULP here has dropped a fair bit in the last week or so, as ongoing supplies have been found/guaranteed, and we're down to paying about the equivalent of $8.00-ish per US Gallon for now, but we don't have a high speed train to anywhere in this part of the Great Southern Land. And that Fuel Excise Relief package that dropped almost 30 cpl AUD off the price of all ULP here in Oz only lasts until 30 June 2026...

But on the other hand, we are getting the equivalent of about 60 mpg or better from our PHEV Bitsamissin, and of late, we only ever charge it off the daytime excess from our solar array (additional cost = $0!) 😁

Gas Prices here in Vermont are $ 4.49 a gallon for regular.

Went for a lunch run down to Southern Humboldt county, CA. Stopped here to stretch my legs. 180 miles round trip, and it only took 6 fun tickets (gal of gas) LOL

Then lunch a little further south. The lady at the snack bar said they had the best Burgers in California & I would have to agree.

Are you putting that into your Spyder?
Why not? 91 is recommended but not required. From the manual:
Type Premium unleaded gasoline Minimum octane 87 Pump Posted AKI(RON+MON)/292 RON Recommended octane 91 Pump Posted AKI(RON+MON)/295 RON Fuel tank capacity 27 l (7.1 gal (liq.,US)
But the debate goes on ...... :)

Great pics again, and that burger...wow!!
Hahahaha. The lady at the snack bar said it was the best Burger in California, and I believe she was right.
I've passed by here at least 100 times in my life and never stopped.
The building is put together with wooden pegs instead of nails. Built in '61.
If you live in Eureka, you have to go right past this place on your way south to SF. It's also right by the turn off to get on Hwy 1 to the coast. Neat part of Ca.

I wasn't debating or suggesting that she not use regular. I was just asking if that's what she used.

Beautiful part of the state, hope to get back there again.

I'd only run fuel under 91 when I couldn't get the recommended minimum.
Sure, the knock sensor will detect your engine knocking and pull timing, hurting performance and mileage, but it cannot intervene until AFTER it detects knock. Each knock event can erode material from the pistons, and can eventually cause significant engine damage.

I called and spoke to Elijah over at Lamonsters Garage on Monday morning to ask if they had any Elka II rear shocks on hand and was very pleased to learn that they did. He took down our weights and our riding preferences, had the shock set AND SHIPPED that same day! UPS had it on my door step Weds afternoon. I was absolutely impressed by the service, and it's been that way since the very first order I placed with them 2 years ago. Our local shop installed the shock for me on Friday morning, and we took it for a ride today. All I can say is WOW! What a huge difference from what was installed by BRP. Firm, controlled, comfortable... all the good things. We also feel like we're sitting taller, and the front end is working more than before, but the front JRi shocks and the sway bar upgrades are absolute money. To say I'm pleased is an understatement.

After reading all the warnings on this forum about needing an emergency seat release I tried to think of an easy way to do it. I wound up riding to Bass Pro Shop (any bait shop would work) and bought a set of 9" stainless wire leaders. They have a snap on one end and a swivel on the other. I hooked the snap to the actuator bar and routed the cable out the right side. The leader is just long enough to tuck behind the body work and the swivel makes a great handle on the end. A pack of 4 was $2.50.
