What did you do to your Spyder today?

I added a passenger USB port and back-up camera. Also learned something today; the 2024 is and isn't back-up camera ready. The display will support the camera, but the rear fender does not have the port for the camera - that's on the 2025. So, I now have a 2025 rear fender on my 2024 Spyder. Camera works great. Makes it a bunch easier to back into my garage.

Ahh, congrats on getting it all done and working but you really shoulda searched here first!

That bit's not 'new' knowledge, it's been on the boards here (and elsewhere too ) since mid/late 2024 - check out the thread linked below, which is just one of the threads discussing things like how to get a back-up camera to work on a '24 Spyder.

Since the new for 2025 rear view camera that will be on the Sea to Sky RT (and Canyon I'm told) will not be available for retrofit to the 2024 RT, I am considering installing my own. I'm not too crazy about disassembling the back half of the Spyder just to access the reverse light wire needed to activate the camera. Does anyone know the wire color and if It might be found under the passenger seat, or maybe even at the reverse gear actuator (if there is such a thing).

It ALWAYS pays to search first. After all, there's really not all that much about Spyders that hasn't at least been touched upon here at some stage since they first hit the streets - you name it, chances are it's been mentioned. So there's lotsa good info to be had here, and many hidden (or not so hidden ) gems of knowledge that juuust might come in handy on any Spyder task you might be planning, if you look first.

Yep, there's a lot of good information here, and also a lot of somewhat conflicting information that is not helped by the Owners Manual (like, how do you turn off the radio or set the presets?). The 2024 seems to be a bit of a transition model with some stuff that was on the 20-23 models removed and some stuff for the 25 not fully supported, but there. *sigh* All part of the learning curve. My Goldwing was much easier to get all the communications and navigations stuff working well together in one simple package. Don't get me started on working to find a solution (not gravity fed or that takes up the back seat) for adding an extended range tank. This sub-200 mile range is for the birds. Next stop is getting a CB to work with everything.

Rode the wife's bike (a 2016 F3L) out on Thursday for about 80 miles. It hadn't been ridden lately, so I took it towards Siler City to see if I could observe the "Walk for Peace" march as they headed through Raleigh on their way to DC. For some reason, I passed a line of over 2 miles worth of cars on the side of the road waiting on them, but I still missed seeing them. I did, however, get caught up in the 0-2 mph traffic on the return trip. I swear I am about to believe that they were in one of those vans that I met after passing all the parked cars. How else could I have missed a dozen people walking down the road with a police escort, but then got caught up behind them on the return trip? Oh well, it was still a 59 degree day and a great day for riding.

Bought these safety glasses. I had right eye cataract surgery on Jan 5th and left eye on Jan 19th. I rode today with these safety glasses and my modular helmet. They fit nicely with the helmet and did not effect my vision at all. Everything was in focus and no distortions.

That turns the volume down, but does not turn it off.
