• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Spent Saturday installing my Baja Ron Front Shocks; took a break on Sunday; then Today, I installed the Baja Ron Ultimate sway bar. Then I was too pooped to take it for test drive. I did notice a big difference in body dip when mounting the bike. Tomorrow, we are going to breakfast on the Spyder, followed by a test drive on our favorite local (TN) roads. I will report back on how the bike feels after the ride.

As Paul Harvey used to say, "now the rest of the story". After spend two days installing the new shocks and sway bar, the wife and I went to breakfast today up in Tennessee, and then rode some of our favorite back roads. Even she noticed a big difference in ride smoothness and the corners were less "throwing you off the bike". She is happy and I am happy. The bike was totally different, in a good way. It felt very comfortable on the Highway, and planted in the corners when we got to the twisties. Best mod I have done to the bike so far!

Found a post here or somewhere else, I don't remember, about the lock/latch on the top case needing to be adjusted.
If the latch wasn't correctly adjusted you could "bump" it with the palm of your hand and the top case would open, even if it was locked.

I tried it and it happened on my top case.

So I spent some time adjusting the latch for the top case so it still latches and locks, but you can't pop it open by hitting it with your hand.

And the first couple of attempts I adjusted it too far, and it would latch but the lock would not engage.

Took a nice ride from Lebanon Tennessee to Elkton Kentucky and back. I always use Google Maps set to 'no highways' so I can see the countryside, and sometimes I chose to ignore the 'quick way' it wants if I see a road that looks interesting. It always gets me there, and I get to see the roads less travelled. Beautiful day in the 80's, tunes going, ended up being about 175 miles of smiles.

Have a look at this.
This is the process I used to adjust the top case lock/latch:

Nothing for my Canyon today. However I am continuing to change the newspaper in my boots and helmet trying to dry them from my ride on Friday.
