What did you do to your Spyder today?

Picked up the solenoid to add clutch assist to my F3S.
I pulled all the bodywork off to do the install, and decided while I have it apart I'm going to flush the coolant and refill with Peak Final Charge PRO series coolant. I have all the front and side bodywork off, and I'll be cleaning up all those areas after the flush and before reassembly.
Gotta pick up a check valve and some vacuum line tomorrow to finish the clutch mod.
I also have a couple of parts for the F4 windshield brackets that I'm going to bead blast and repaint tomorrow.

Like most things I do, scope creep has set in.

Noticed on a video from Pierre (Spyder Accessories) of how to get extra cable length on a 2020+ RT. I did this, and was able to easily add my Lamonster 2" riser to go with my standard F3 bars. Gonna see if my Helibars will work next

Is it mounted to the handle bar? If so, can you please provide an image. I saw this one on Amazon, but not sure it will fit my handlebar...

It could be, it came with some mounting options, but not on my Spyder, mine is mounted under the headlight tupperware and the USB cable feeds up to my phone mount between the windshield and above the dash surround.

Backed the Spyder out of its shed. Dusted it off. Then me an wife went on a ride. Put it away dirty. Tomorrow I will clean it .

Finished the clutch assist install. The only part I bought from BRP was the solenoid, as the rest was just hoses and a check valve.
I cable-tied the solenoid to the back of the ECU bracket instead of using screws, as there is very limited access.

It reduced the clutch pull from 14# to 9#, which is a noticeable difference. It should make back-road and in-town riding more enjoyable.

It was cold and rainy all day, so I put off the coolant change. I'll roll it outside and do that tomorrow.
It sure would have been nice if they'd included a coolant drain plug.

Installed the Mono Seat Cowl on my 2024 F3-S:



There was conflicting information (numerous different part numbers), so it was unclear if this would really fit on a '24, but I took a chance, figuring I could make it work one way or another.
Not too bad in the end, and easy enough to swap to the passenger seat and then the Lamonster passenger backrest (with its 1 bolt), if my wife feels like a ride.

Over the last few days, I've installed a 5 pin plug and wire harness, adjusted the drive belt tension, aligned the belt tracking, and cleaned up some wiring under the pillion seat. We'll be ready to pull the trailer soon on a few shake down rides.
The belt tension went smoothly, following the OEM instructions for the most part. The tension had been set rather high last year when we were trying to isolate the vibration that was present at a specific rpm range. It measured at 300 lbs with WOW, and 210 with rear tire suspended when I started. I adjusted it down to between 160 & 180 (tire suspended), which translated to about 210 with WOW.
Tracking the belt was pretty straight forward with the tire rotating at idle rpm and using a ratchet with a long socket extension; I could tweak it and watch the resulting effect. When everything was re-secured and torqued down, the tracking and tension were re-checked and confirmed as being unchanged.

I replaced the Right Hand Switch Housing with a Switch Housing for an F3S, so it now has cruise control. I was able to test it on a ride out to Little Orleans just past Hancock, Md. It was a nice ride once I got off 70 from testing out the cruise control, and it seemed like no one else was out there; surprising, since it was such a nice day out.

Took the 2014 RTS out of hibernation and drove about 20 miles. Checked the oil, all is good. All other fluids were checked when I put it in for its winter nap.

Got the windshield brackets blasted and painted yesterday.
Today I finished the coolant flush and change, and figured I'd give it another wash before replacing the bodywork and giving it a quick polish.

As usual, nothing I do is "quick". Five hours later it's fully detailed, reassembled, and nicely shined up. Hopefully I can get in a few rides this week, as the weather is looking pretty good.

The newly assisted clutch feels much better. I think it was well worth the $100 in parts and an afternoon spent installing.

I woke up my Spyder, and took it out of hibernation. I took it for a ride. I did about 60 miles round trip. It felt good to get back in the saddle again after the long winter we had here in Vermont.

Everything on the bike is good (fluids, tires, radio, etc.) At some point, I will need to wash the Spyder, but my life is very busy, and all is good!

Got a new rear tire, oil change, and full service at a new (to me) dealership in Fayetteville, NC. Went to Baker Motorsports. There were 7 dealerships within a 80 mile radius of me. I have owned 6 Spyders and gotten great service from one about 30 miles away since day one. But on my first service on my 2021 RTL, the price on an oil change went from $276 to $450. The only difference is that they are now in a newer building. As much as I like them, I could not stand for that.

The closer dealership to me (10 miles away) is incompetent and expensive. So I was going to try out the dealer one of my buddies recommended, who is about 50 miles away, only to find out that they didn't renew their contract and will now no longer be working on Can Am On Road products. Fayetteville is only about 50 miles South of me, so I did some research and decided to give Baker a try.

Their price for a tire installation and oil change was between $100-$150 less than any other place locally (in line with what I was used to paying). They got me in at my appointed time, and had me back on the road in about 2.5 hours. They treated me well, and they actually acted like they appreciated my custom. Unless I walk downstairs and see a puddle of oil under my bike, or something else out of place, they will be my go-to place from now on. Thanks Baker Motorsports!

Finally got my BajaRon sway bar installed on Sunday. Tried to take it out for a ride but the wind was just brutal - made it 1/4 mile to the Stop sign and called it a day. I'll get her out later today or tomorrow, when it's not supposed to be gale-force winds out (I exaggerate... a little!)
The biggest thing we did is to arrange the purchase of an RT Limited for my father in law. We're heading out Friday to pick that up.

Unfolded my Stinger CAN-AM trailer, hooked it to my Honda Ridgeline, and moved it to the bottom of my driveway.
Time to shower and get dressed, then load the Spyder onto the trailer and strap it down, and then off to the dealer to drop it off for service.

My house sits on the top of a hill, and the driveway slopes down to the street.
My dealer does _not_ allow you to schedule a service appointment, so it's a drop off and they'll call you when it's ready.
I bought my Spyder 13 months ago.
