• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

What did I do to my Spyder Today? Rode it!! :ohyea:

Put a couple of hundred miles on the new battery (had to retire the original after it failed completely :banghead: it was only 7 years & 5 months old! :p ) and this weekend was our first (local) weekend out of our State's 'group gatherings of 10 persons max' lock-down, so a fewof us got together & cruised down to the mouth of Australia's largest river, the Murray, to have fish'n chips on the beach!

Great day, great ryde, -2°C start, but the sun fairly quickly burned away the mist & frost, & from there on in it stayed clear, so the temps eventually hit a max of 10°C, which made for a clear, fine, and bloody brilliant day! :2thumbs:

Unfortunately I could only make sure she was covered securely in preparation for Cristobal. Then watch it rain through the window, longing to go for a ryde!

Just got back from a longer trip 500km (310 miles) on my Ryker, just to find that finally my x-grip has arrived on the mail. I installed it right away, cant wait to give it a good try! :D
The OEM tank bag is OK, but for the phone it just doesnt cut it. The charging Cable does not fit, and you have to take the Eyes too far from the road to look at the GPS on the phone.

worked many hours trying to install Big Bike Parts back rest on my 20 RTL, work, work, and no success. Got to the install of the L metal frame L piece that is to suppoort the back rest, and just seems no way to fit that L bend on to the RT for final step install. Looks like I'll be taking it to the dealer see if they can figure it out, I have to take it in for the fitment recall, just get it done then. Talk about frustration. Yes, I called accessories.net, they gave me instructions to pull up on the under pan and the L metal support will slide right in, that didn't happen.

You have to loosen up the (2) bolts (one on each side parallel w/the channel for the L bracket) pretty far to fit the L bracket in there.

Yesterday, I swapped back from the Comfort seat to the stock seat and today I'm going to install one of those trunk organizers. Other than getting a new mounting bracket for the Utopia backrest that fits the stock seat, I'm not doing anything else to this bike. Decided to get smart and change plans. I have about 1.5 years left on my Honda (cage) lease then I'm going to turn it in, but a cheap beater (I'm now working from home and drive about 15 miles per week) and buy a new F3 (T or L) or a new 2020+ RT (base model). I'm done sinking money into this.

HAGO!

Thanks Monk, believe me, I have removed the two 13 mm bolts, loosened the other two and lifted mightily, nothing seems to work, noting gives. The recall has not been done on the refit recall, maybe that's the problem. I even removed the driver's seat, no joy there either. So tomorrow I put it all back together so I can ride.

I finally got my plates! Too bad the Spyder is in the shop. I've had it for almost 3 weeks and only was able to go up and down my street a couple times.

Installed CANAMSPYDERACCESSORIES hitch and wiring harness. Flawless fit. Working on the showchrome ryder backrest. Mounting bracket fit is giving me issues.

Re post 306, hallelujah, after persevering, I finally got that aftermarket back rest installed, it was me, I was doing something wrong. Glad I persevered 'cause I like that backrest.

It was the L shaped mounting bracket. I just kept fiddling, placed it in the slot and gave it a mighty lift one last time in the middle of the plte and and the bike mounting bracket just sort slid into place. I think my problem was trying to make it slide into the the very bottom instead of the 'top' just under the round opening where the fender washer goes and the bolt fastener goes through to thread into the bike mounting bracket. I completely removed the two 13mm plate bolts toward the front, and loosened those two toward the rear of the plate so the plate would budge enough. Happy I did not 'give up' and make the dealer service department appointment. those people are not cheap.

Pleasure, always like to share if I have the answer. I hate to admit I spent a lot of time figuring this out 'cause there was no clear cut advice on 'how to' get this thing to slide into place. It may have worked first time for some folks, but not me. :>)

Working on a drinking system with my wife. She didn't want to use a camel back. We'll use here 32 oz cooler cup and a piece of clear tube with a camel back valve system. And of course a magnetic hose holder for her jacket. We'll see...

Nothing to mine, but I put LED fog and headlights in my wife's new RT. The left fog light kicked my @$$ for a little bit.
