• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I spent a good chunk of time looking for and finally finding the Accessory wiring in the front of my '19 RTL. I finally discovered it after taking the battery out and it was right behind the rubber plug in the left side of the frunk. After finding it, I ran the power cable that came with my Zumo XT from the accessory wiring terminals back and up to where the switches are for the fog lights and the grip heaters. I removed one of the blanks and brought the wiring up through there and up to my GPS center mounted base. All I can say is that working on the Spyder and doing stuff like this is a b!tch!.....but it's done and working.

The excitement of the day just might be opening up my new half cover for the RT, the full cover for the Ryker, and installing a new belt tensioner.......

Just ordered the anti-sway bar for my 2014 RTL from Bajaron! Had great chat with him on cell phone. Super sharp guy! Might go for a ride today since we have sunshine. Keeping a Fronk full of non perishable groceries in case I'm questioned about being "out-and-about". "Just coming back from the necessary grocery stock-up". :opps:

I guess it varies from state to state, but there is absolutely nothing against any Executive order about going riding in TN. In fact, they are encouraging people to get out and walk, exercise, etc, but keep your 6' distance from each other. Every time we ride, we pack a cooler with some water/drinks and a few snacks and just go out and enjoy the beautiful weather and the gorgeous roads...without making contact with others, even when we stop to take a break.

If you ride even a little faster than a snail's pace, you will notice a huge improvement in the handling and cornering with the sway bar. It is night and day different, and the harder you push it, the better it performs. Win - Win!

More poor design from BRP

Fixed the broken mirror top plastic cover. One of the tabs broke a few weeks ago and the top satin/ chrome piece was loose. The 2 unbroken tabs has some flex in them but the broken one didn't. After gluing the tab back together and giving it a 24 hr cure, I cut away the little, tiny gusset ( plastic) and now the tab flexes just a bit like the 2 others. Hope it all works and stays together as this silly piece of plastic costs $104:yikes:. Looked at three suppliers and they were the same price.nojoke After seeing that ridiculous price---- I had to find a way to fix it.

UPDATE:
After fixing the above, two more problems cropped up:
1. The trickled fenderz, sequential light I recently installed weren't right so I dove into them also. A loose connection at the mirror tap . If you have these the connector MUST be pushed together REALLY hard or it will come loose. I taped it also.
2. As in the first fix, a tab has broken off but this time on the bottom of the mirror. Right where you strike to to remove the mirror ( if you don't have the Magic mirror magnets) I'm sure it broke a while back when I was hitting the mirror to remove it ( what a poor design in the first place). Another $100+ part of brittle plastic.

actually it was yesterday! what I did to my Spyder was get on and ride!!!! Our weather was fantastic (mid 80's) and I got on my Spyder and rode over to Oakland, Iowa and back.. Made my mindset a bit better as I'm having extreme "cabin fever" with this virus BS!!!

We mobile self-isolated the last 2 days. Went for a ride in the hinterlands of the Missouri/Arkansas/Oklahoma Ozarks. Didn't see a soul in 5 hours of riding yesterday from the time we left Anderson, MO until we got to Grove OK, about 10 miles from home. Today we went to Indigo Sky Casino near Seneca MO. Gloria had previously rode a VW trike with an automatic transmission for 10 years, never piloted either of the Goldwing trikes we had, and hasn't hasn't much seat time in the front on the Spyder. With this Stay-At-Home order in Missouri (outdoor activities are allowed as long as the 6' and less than 10 people rule is followed) the casino is empty, and there are huge parking lots for her in which to practice. She even got up to 4th gear for the first time today. Another practice or two for confidence building and we'll hit the real roads. A few times on mostly empty roads and I'll lead or follow her on the Bonneville while she solos.

Removed the RH tupperware to try and isolate my air suspension leak. Next stop is trunk removal to expose entire system. Pump is D.O.A. so a direct connection will be plumbed unless there is a hole in the airbag.

Couple of days ago I added and LED bumpskid to my 2017 F3 Limited. Can't have enough lights either front or rear. I bought the LED bumpskid from a Spyderlovers member who had bought it from Tricled but never installed it. The install was about a 5 on the scale of difficulty as you have to drill holes and have to be pretty careful when drilling.
