There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What did you do to your Spyder today?

Finished installing my Elka stage 5 shocks (front & rear). I started the work last weekend and today was spent getting all of the body work back on. It was an easier job than I expected but still tedious, mainly due to removing all of the body work so you can get to the upper bolts on the shocks. The front shocks were the easiest to install. The rear has very, very little room at the top of the shock. I ended up losing the top nut somewhere and had to order some new ones. Lifting the bike really didn't help with rear shock other than getting it into position. I also found out that the plastic panel/shelf under the rear seat has a metal pan underneath it so removing it didn't provide any additional access to the top of the rear shock.

I ended up buying a bunch of extensions for my ratchet wrenches so more tools is always a good thing. ;)

I took it out for a test ride and they're very stiff compared to the OEM shocks. These are set for my wife and I together so with just my weight I expected it to be stiffer. Now the fun part begins...adjusting the shocks for me as a solo rider...after a week or two of getting used to them as is.

Well, I thought last week was going to be the end of my riding season. .... However, Mother Nature gave me a three-day reprieve and I was able to ride Thurs, Fri, and Sat. ..... But I put the Spyder to bed this morning & won't take it out till the Spring. I could ride in Temp's in the 50's but I don't enjoy it. Last year I had a Gas guzzler and rode well into Nov because I could get groceries in the RT, my Nissan Versa gets almost the same MPG's as the Spyder, so why bother freezing? .... I also got the Ski's down from the attic and although I'm slowing down, it ain't over yet! :clap: :clap: ..... Mike :thumbup:

Finally installed my new front tires (Vredstein 175/55) after finding a tire store that had a "0 degree" balancing cone for their machine. They definitely track better and steer easier. Also installed new EBC rotors and HH pads. Installed K&N air filter and front center LED light that was on sale. Ready to go--but now it was 24 degrees here in Arkansas this morning.

Hello MCole, we're really enjoying our ride as well!
We're hoping to get some more seat time this weekend as we're being blessed with some 60+F temps. Gotta take advantage of the opportunities while we have them!
We're both on our learners permits for now, so we're splitting the time and riding solo. But, we're signed up for the 3 wheel rider/safety course in March and looking forward to getting some two-up time next year.

Safe riding!

It was 61-63 today in the ETN Mountains, so I went for a longer than usual ride. 125 miles of good riding. Came home and let it cool down for an hour, and did the 1st oil change (3,000 mi).

Moved everything out of the garage, swept it out, and rearranged it so both bikes and the snowblower can fit in the garage. Distance ridden 100 feet for the day.

Beautiful day out, so I took the Spyder out car shopping. I'm looking for a vehicle to tow behind our motorhome. The ride was good, but the shopping Meh!
Also topped off the oil in the F3 after the oil change yesterday. I've got 5.5 quarts of oil in it, and it's almost to the max line - Perfect! I will say this synthetic 5/40 allows the transmission to shift smooth and quiet. Feels like the 1330 is running a little smoother also. I got the oil change kit from Lamonster right after I bought the bike. The kit is great. The o-rings aren't color coded, so just check the diameter and thickness. I'll buy from them again in a heartbeat. I also purchased the Show Chrome Yellow magnetic drain plugs from Lamonster, but didn't use them, because the OEM stuff wasn't damaged from my removal. They actually looked like pretty good quality, and the metal did not try to strip out. I gave them each a good initial whack with the ratchet attached, and they came loose with a little snap noise.

Took off the parking brake and moved the :spyder2:a few feet. Left the parking brake OFF. The alarm only lasted 20 seconds.

I put my parking brake back together today. A while back it would not release, so I took the cable off and just let it sit. I rode it a couple of times but did not stop anywhere that I needed a parking brake. So today I decided I need to check it out and determine if it was something I could take care of or did it need to go to the dealer (110 miles away). I had the wife hit the button as I watched the cable. It moved as it should, so I just put it back together and we took short 60-mile ride (temp was in the high 70's, but fairly windy). But since I am getting my right shoulder replaced next month, I thought I better ride when I can.

Nice weather today, low 90’s °F, got a 56-mile ride in. Had a two-fold mission:

1) practice launching from a standstill (SM6) for this coming weekend’s all-motorcycle drag racing at our local track;

2) run the last gallon or so of regular gas out and fill with super unleaded for said drag race.

...Oh, the things I have to suffer through... :ohyea:
