• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What brand of oil do you use?

It is about time for my 6000 mile oil change, and I was thinking about ordering a filter from BajaRon. For my 3000 mile oil change I went to the dealer for the oil and filter. But it would be nice if I didn’t have to go to the dealer every time I needed oil. It’s not that far, it is just out of my way and I rarely go his direction.
Anyway what do you guys think is the best non-BRP oil? And can you get it at a place like Wal-Mart, cycle shop ect?

motul 100 synt. + mokool antifreeze additif man what a difference i dropped one bar on the heat gage

Synthetic Oil

I run synthetic in my Toyota truck, Nissan truck and John Deere LT 150. My long time mechanic back in TN advised me to use it and it seems to work fine. Has anyone used synthetic in the Spyder SE 5?

I kind of go my own way, I started out with The Can Am full syn, Then Spectrum full syn, Next Mobil racing 4T full syn, Now Amsoil full syn.
I think i might stick with the Amsoil.:dontknow: The filters i get from my dealer,
and sometimes the oil too. I ride 160 miles round trip to my dealer for the filter, I love the ride.
I can get the oil and filter 10 miles from me but like i said i love the ride.:ohyea:

AMSOIL!! AMSOIL!! :roflblack: Great stuff, has improved performance in both Spyders. Zero problems. There are site vendors here that can provide the filters and the oil in most cases. I like keeping the money in the family! :D

Yes sir no problems what so ever i used mobil 1 4t and amsoil you can not go wrong with either one of these as long as you put the correct viscosity in it and it meets brp spects.

We decided to throw in the towel and just use Can Am's stuff. Tired of all the drama. Oil is a lot like politics. Sadly Political decisions are every two years, Oil is every few weeks :gaah::roflblack:
