• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the oil capacity of a 2026 S2S? Does it hold more than 5 Qts of oil/

I ordered an oil change kit from SlingMods which consisted of 6 qts of Spectro Platinum oil, O rings, and a K&N oil filter. i saw a video on utube that appeared to show 5 1/2 qts of oil in a BRP oil change kit, so my question is does the engine hold more than 5 qts of oil?

Yes it does. 5.1 quarts sounds correct.

That being said. Did you get any books or booklets with your Spyder? I know sometimes people will misplaced things.

Anyhow all BRP information is usually available online.

Enjoy your Spyder Ryde Times. (y)

Put 4.75 in and go through your warmup cycle then top off to where it's supposed to be, that way you're not over filling it!

You're right about misplacing things, and yep, I did that with my owners manual, which I found today after the wife and I rode 142 miles this morning. Engine oil and filter, 5 qts; engine oil and filter, plus HCM filter, 5.2 qts. I changed the oil and filter yesterday using 5 qts, knowing that 5 qts would be plentiful in a dry sump engine, so all is good.

I dump 5 quarts in the 1330, after draining both the crankcase and the transmission side. Run it, check it, and add more if needed.
So far, in the 4 times I've changed the eng oil & Filter, I usually use 5.2-5.3 quarts.
Next oil change will be early, less than 5,000 miles, but I'll have 20,000 on it and the HCM Filter will need changing. There's no way I'm going by BRP's recommendation of 9,600 miles or whatever it is they say. I'll go 6k if I have to, but generally I change it at 5k.
Oil is still cheap compared to a new factory ACE 1330.

When it comes to maintenance and repair, I generally follow the factory.
But, you can do what makes you happy. I do believe that most people over think some of these things.

As always, your Spyder and your money.
Have a Spyder Day. (y)
