• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil level over limit - does the factory or dealer do this?

Just got my brand new F3-S 2026, checked the oil level after arriving home, let it idle and fire the fans a couple of times before shut it off and checked the dip stick.
Level is over the max mark... Do they come from factory like this or is it the dealer that fills up the oil before delivery?

That's my second Spyder and I always needed to pump some oil out to get it back under max mark after an oil change at this dealer.

Thanks for the feedback,
Daniel.

Oil is very clear now, but I can tell it's over the MAX mark (1), not sure how much over really, but it's definitly above.

On my previous Spyder I would pump the oil little by little (maybe 100ml at a time), until the mark is right between 2 and 1.

I've always measured with the engine hot (returning home from at least 1 hour ride), let idle until the fans came on twice, switch off the motor and take the dip stick out, two or three times to make sure measurement are the same.

If it's just over it, that's no biggie. But if, for some reason, you can't tell how far, dampen the end of the dipstick in water. Then check it. The wet stick will help indicate the oil level. If that doesn't work, wrap a small amount of black tape around the stick above the full mark to create contrast, then check it. If that doesn't help you to see the oil level, then I don't know what more we can tell you.
