Weird things...ideas ?

I went for a putt a coupla days ago...while getting on the freeway (2008 SE-5) it wouldn't upshift from 3rd to 4th, something flashed on the IP, when I upshifted again, no problem and nothing of the IP... she ran on just fine??

Today after being on the road for about an hour, I cruising along at 50MPH and she pops like a backfire, keeps running just fine except the temp gauge goes crazy for a few seconds running the bars up and down the gauge??

Any ideas?

Check your battery voltage and connections first. A battery load test may be in order. The battery has to be ruled out first, when any miscellaneous electrical/electronic glitches occur.

The only time my temp gauge got flaky was when my coolant tank split and dumped enough that the sensor couldn't read. Just another possibility.
