• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wasn't 09 the first year for the paddle shifter?

Okay as some of you know my business went into a tailspin which forced me to sell my dearly beloved. My RT - not my wife - for those of you wondering. Well as you can imagine, life without a Spyder has been really painful.

I'm looking at a used GS. Low miles. Looks and runs like new. I'm being told it's an 08 but it's an SE5. Wasn't 2009 the first year for the SE5?

There were SE5's available on the 2008 model GS. It became the RS in 2009. We did not get the SE5's in AK until 2009. I got one of the first SE5's to hit the streets in AK. That :spyder2: was for the spouse.

Can't believe everything you read I guess. At the end of a review by Motorcycle.com it says that in 2009 Can Am will introduce a new model, the SE5. It even quotes BRP saying they're hoping the new semi-automatic will appeal to an even wider audience.

I knew I'd get it cleared up here. This forum is amazing. Thanks.

There you have it..

Can't even trust what you read...:roflblack: All started in 07 production in 08 and Jay Leno got #001....:ohyea:

I'm just glad to hear that you're feeling good enough about things, to dip your toes back in the water! :2thumbs:

Happy Hunting!

Thanks Bob and Patti. My income may not be what it was five years ago but it'll take more than an economic downturn to keep me from owning a Spyder!
