• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Warning light

Desert Spyder

I just had my battery replaced at Spyderfest. There is a orange warning light next to the right turn signal that is lit. With the rain and all I didn't want to pull over so I went to the hotel. What is the light and why is it on. Thanks

Clueless with the lack of vehicle information available suggest you ask at SF.

That is your Check Engine Light.
You state that you drove the Spyder so it must still have the engine ...

Sorry I couldn't resist..

You will need to start it and with the light ON press MODE-SET-TURN SIGNAL CANCEL simultaneously.

This will display an error code(s)
Write them down and post what theyare

I will do it the morning. Thanks Rog

For a 2011 RT P1616 says the throttle position sensor value is invalid (or words to that effect), probably caused by disconnecting the battery. If it doesn't come back I would think everything is fine. If it does, maybe a BUDS check is needed...

Thank you captblack. I had a feeling it wasn't something serious. It was definitely connected to the change out of the battery. Happiness is no warning lights or messages on your 1500 mile trip back home. Now if only this stupid weather would clear up a little so we can have some fun while in Springfield. We want to go to the Precious Moments Chapel. Its on the way home but when I leave for home its one way with no diversions.

 I just started mine up to go get fuel for tomorrow's 5:00am departure, and had the same orange screen of Death, Limp Mode, and Codes P2620, P1120. She shut down on me a couple of times, but I was able to run it over to PitBull's. I was also getting TPS codes; they cleared them, told me to replace it if it does it again, and sent me on my merry wayyy...
...with a 1200 mile ride and a cranky bike! :yikes:

That stinks Bob!!!! Wishing you lots of luck on the way home!!!! Do you guys think its because of all the rain and moisture at SF this year that every one is getting all the warning lights and such? Just seams to me that every one seems to be having problems this week...
