• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 Spyder with warning light - BRAKE FAILURE - any ideas on how to fix this?

A warning light came on the dash in orange saying BRAKE FAILURE. The brakes are working and so does the parking brake, but the light and icon does not go off when releasing the brake. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thank you

Look at adding a little brake fluid. Even a small amount. Check that the floats are free and pointing towards the front. The same warning can mean low fluid, or the brake control VCM being clogged with contaminated fluid.

Check your brake fluid level, make sure the floats are not hug up, sometimes it only takes a cap full to make it go out! If that doesn't work, do a hard reset on the brake switch! Do a search on it.

+3 for brake fluid level. Add fluid to raise the sensor floats just above the outer ring of the sensor... both chambers. Oh, and after you’ve done that, check the diaphragm seal under the cap to see if it has begun to unfold and expand. If it has, just push it back in. It will pop back into shape.

As well as making sure the V slit is pointing toward the back of bike - they do spin slightly.
