There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

waiting for a call

Thank you for posting John.

IMO: Communication goes a long way in keeping customers in the loop, knowing that they have not been forgotten. Hopefully this time will be the charm. It is also great that they posted their priorities in taking care of customers--this way, everyone has an idea of when their problems will be addressed.

it still baffles me

that some bikes have heat and some bikes have excessive heat. every motor turns out heat and our bikes have a closed in motor so we must expect more heat other than a regular bike. i did mention that some people have wrapped their pipes and he asked if i did it also. but i told him i was not going to put anymore money or time into my bike other that what i did for the vents. so who knows, that is something they might be thinking of doing to help the heat

Thanks, John! :2thumbs:
We'll be awiting more information, as it develops!

(Quote) in the next couple of weeks information will go out to the dealers who has people with the real hot bikes to try the fix's out to see if they help. so with this i am satisfied with what he said and hope that what ever they come up with will work. being i am in the middle of a snow storm today i really don't care right now but he also said the areas that people can still ride will most likely get the test fix first, and i am fine with that also.

Weren't you told this same thing by him a few months back? I thought I remember reading that.

Thanks for the updates. It is great they have not stopped looking for fixes. I will there was a place to track/monitor the progress. Keep'em coming.

A couple of corrections

Hi cuznjohn,

I'd like to make a couple of corrections to this:

he said the whole time they were working on the 14's it was his job to work on the 13's.

We're going to continue to support our vehicles. What I reiterated was that we(not just me!) are working to make sure that all 2013 RT owners are happy with their vehicles. Yes, the 2014s are out, but we're not at all losing sight of the 2013s.

steve said that at first there are a few bikes with really bad heat and my bike is one of them,

Certain machines can seem to put out different temperature ranges than other, identical ones - while this is normal, the reports of heat above and beyond a certain level are definitely the first ones I'd like to see addressed. Remember that any vehicle emits some heat, and that what's "normal" for one rider can be qualified as "excessive" for the next.

in the next couple of weeks information will go out to the dealers who has people with the real hot bikes to try the fix's out to see if they help.

I don't know exactly when any information will make its way downstream, nor can I comment on what any potential means to address the aforementioned concerns will consist of.

he also said he liked the way my vents came out and said my bike looks great.

It really does, especially with that yellow! It's one of the fastest colors. ;)

but being winter set in i concentrated on my vents and really didn't care about the heat because i was not riding. i really was hoping for warmer weather to try out my fix but instead we got another snow storm, i just got in from snow blowing for the 2nd time today

It not only looks great, but it looks "hot"!!! (Pardon the Pun). Although I apparently do not have the heat issue to the extent that you do, I am seriously considering getting the mod that you have installed. That REALLY looks cool. I'd install that mod whether I had a heat issue or not.

Chris

thanks

and i knew that yellow was the fastest looking color not like the other colors that people think are fast

Its in BRP,s Best interest to find a fix to the 2013 Problems because the Leftovers would sell Much Quicker if a solution is found and many who "Right Now" have nothing good to say about BRP would be relieved that their Hard earned $$ didn,t get wasted and they will get the product they had a right to expect!!

I myself almost traded for a 2013 ST But heard some of the complaints and backed off.
In fact I don,t know for a fact that the 2014 ST is going to be any better Soo for now I,m watching and waiting!:dontknow:

I did buy a Sea Doo Spark, my 13th BRP Jet ski.:lecturef_smilie:

Thanks for sharing, cuznjohn. I don't deal with my dealer, any longer, and won't, ever again . . . so I hope I can get whatever is forthcoming, from another dealer . . . although I also had a conversation about the heat . . . and that dealer . . . with BRP, recently. I am confident they will find a solution . . . and if BRP is reading, I'm Daniel McNally . . . you probably don't have records of a sale to Hayfield! nojoke

This is almost the same reply I got via e-mail a few days back so I'm hoping this all works out for all of us. I'm looking forward to an enjoyable summer riding!

Thanks for the info

Hi cuznjohn,
I am only new so I am reading everything with interest, I took delivery of my 2013 RT limited two weeks before Xmas and have not had a good chance to get out on a long ride but I did notice on a couple of short runs to work that the machine did get hot. I am from Queensland in Australia and the weather these last few weeks has been in the 40+ degC with humidity of around 70^% so I thought that may be the reason.

I have read a lot about the heat problems but have not seen any mention of date ranges of production of the effected models, just wondering if there have been mods made over the 2013 year and if any one knows the differences if any.?

Thank you for the information.

welcome

the answer to your question is no. all the 13's are the same but some have the heat issue and some don't. the only fix that BRP has done on the 13's is the heat insulation on the master cylinder and the evap canister, and replacement of them if they melted from the heat. other than that we are waiting to see what they will do next. enjoy your bike and have fun

Include ALL 2013's With Heat Issues

.......

First, John ... thanks for posting this. It is good to see BRP stepping up and acknowledging that excessive, perhaps even dangerous, heat is an issue for SOME 2013's.

Second, Steve ... your reference to "all 2013 RT owners" has me concerned as I know there are a number of 2013 ST's that are also "in trouble" when it comes to heat (flamingobabe, Charlyne Baker, comes to mind ... and she is NOT the only one). Please confirm that the pending fix is NOT limited to the RT .... it needs to be for ALL 2013's with heat issues.

Thanks and Best Regards .... Ann

way to go

I was really impressed that brp is stepping up on this heat issue.

congrats are in order for all who stepped up and were active on this sight and off.

all owners of 2013's will benefit from this action IF brp comes thru.

thanks to all. :clap::clap:

I'm a 13 RT LTD Owner and up until now have been very lucky but the past few weeks the front glove box on my bike has been getting very warm and the center bar under the seat. Warm enough you don't want to touch it with a bare hand. My fuel mileage has been really bad and I do not drive over 60 inmost cases. I'm wondering if my fuel actually isn't boiling that's why it's so bad. 21 and 22 in most cases. Anyone else noticing the same ?
