• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So once you see what MAP is working well you should share it with non geek types so we can use it..............

Yes, once I get a tuned map for my setup, I will be more than willing to share it. If your setup is the same or similar, you could just drop it in the PCV and be good to go.

In my area, I could not find a tuning center that would make me a custom map for the Spyder because they either did not have a dyno big enough to get the Spyder on - or they didn't want to do it. I looked into that first before buying the AutoTune.

The PCV is supplemental on the Spyder, the way I understand it. Maybe I am wrong...

I got clarification from Dyno Jet on a couple of things. I was wrong that the map on the PCV is a total replacement for the OEM map. What is does is apply adjustments to the OEM map. I inquired about the new ECM update and that I assumed it will run richer. Here is the response that I got from them today based on that inquiry:

"The Power Commander adds/subtract fuel over/under the ECU. So if the Power Commander map was made to increase fuel mostly because of an ECU that wasn’t providing enough fuel and now the ECU is supplying more fuel, you might find that the Power Commander map for the old ECU is running too rich with the new ECU."

The end result is the same though where if the PCV over/under map was based on the the original (leaner) map rather than the new one, then you could end up running too rich assuming that you were running the PCV WITHOUT the AutoTune.

I also asked that whatever the new ECM change is, won't the AutoTune ultimately correct the PCV adjustments with time and the answer to that was "Yes". So if you're running just a PCV with one of their maps, then you may not want the new ECM update as their maps are already running richer. I opened the map I uploaded to my PCV and it is +8% richer over the OEM map. If you have an AutoTune, then you can update the ECM and it will adjust. In reality, if you have the AutoTune, you don't need the new ECM map.

The last question I asked was if anything needed to be done to the PCV before the ECM was updated and the answer was:

"As far as actually flashing the ECM, you should be able to do it with the Power Commander and accessories installed."

2013 Heat Issue

well i wrote to steve from BRP yesterday and he got back to me later when i found the E mail from him, in the E mail i said that being it was winter i didn't bother them because of the cold plus i understood that the 14's coming out were their priorities, i also asked why they have not posted anything on the forum about what they are doing to fix the heat issues with the 13's because people are wondering what is going on. so when i read the E mail all it said was, i will call you tomorrow and what is a good time for you, i told him after 1 pm EST because i have a pretty bust morning today. so if i get any information i will post it here. enjoy your morning peeps

I have a 2013 - has had the recall completed and it did not fix the issue - have called BRP - and was told it (my Spyder) is operating as it should - not too happy right now - it gets extremely hot in Texas and can become uncomfortable very quickly - if anyone knows of anything that would help, the info would be greatly appreciated!

2013 Heat issue

Do you know Steve's last name? I would LOVE to talk to him. I bought my 2013 in August of 2015 (it is still under warranty) and have experienced extreme heat issues - BRP basically me there is nothing than can be done...

You poor, poor man !

The only real fix is for you to put your signature on the back of your title and trade that puppy in. There are a wealth of band aids listed on this site, but that is the only real fix if you have done the recall and gotten no relief. The 2013 is a legend. A bad legend.
