• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turns over, won't start

Hello all, haven't seen this problem on the forum yet: After a very nice ride, I gassed up and headed home, parked, no problems. Went to go out again and my Spyder won't start, turns over but no go! Checked all the fuses, relays, battery, all fine but engine still won't catch. Any suggestions??????:dontknow:
Also, what does the red button under the seat that says pull do?
Mine is an "09 SE5 1200 miles no previous problems.
Thanks,

The button is to release your backrest. Not sure on your starting problem. Sounds like you're not getting fuel. :dontknow:

Could be no fuel, could be no spark, could have flooded it. Could be a lot of things. It's only got 1200 mi I'd say get it to the dealer. :dontknow:

Like said previously sounds like your not getting gas, Just a shot in the dark mind you remove the gas filler cap, Waite a few seconds then try to start it.

Sounds like gas or spark plug issues. If you are close to a dealer, I would take it in. Should be a warranty issue perhaps.

Thank you to all who responded to my problem. I tried all of your remidies, but no luck. I guess that I'll have to "bite the bullet" and make the 3 hour trek down to see the dealer. Somehow, I have a gut feeling that it's the fuel pump. :yikes:
Wish me luck.

Just got a lead from someone in California who had a similar problem. In his case it was the rear brake sticking that kept the engine from starting. I'll give it a try to night. Dealer won't even look at it for at least another month. :cus:
Wish me luck!
