• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RTS 2015 won’t start after installing new gauges/dash unit - any ideas?

I ended up having to replace the gauges/dash unit on my 2015 RTS. The dealership sent me out the part, it was pretty easy to install, but now the trike won’t start. Battery reads as 11.92 volts and is relatively new. I’ve also tried jump starting from my car and no joy. Checked the fuses and they all seem good, but admittedly I’m not 100% sure which fuses are relevant.

Other slightly odd things which may or may not be related. After start-up I don’t get the request to read the safety card and press the mode switch. I also occasionally get an orange triangle with what looks like a shock absorber in it. All the electronics work fine otherwise. I can hear the click of the relay as I try to start the engine, but other than that there’s nothing.

I’ve been without my Spyder for two years now (the part took over a year to arrive) so I’m hoping you fine folks can help me get back on the road so I can enjoy some summer riding.

Thanks in advance,

From my 2014 service manual:

Multifunction Gauge Replacement
NOTE: If the multifunction gauge is replaced, the engine may not start because of the security exchange coding. The gauge must be matched to
the ECM for the vehicle to start.
Connect vehicle to B.U.D.S. Refer to COMMUNICATION TOOLS AND B.U.D.S. subsection.

Your dealer should have known this.

If doing your own maintenance, service manuals are invaluable and inexpensive.

If they have what Can Am calls an "All Dealer License" for BUDS they should have the capability to help you; if they will is another question.
