• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turn Signal Indicator Improvement

Well, since after 4 years BRP has not improved the stock indicator I added my own. I used to have a red arrow on the mirror but it did take up precious space so I installed two green hi intensity LED's. The mirror did not need to be opened up and I routed the led wires into the existing wiring sheath by cutting a small slit near the mirror end then pulling the wires out by the connector. I opened the connector up, soldered the LED wires to the existing pins and reassembled the connector. Voila! Plenty bright and a car can see these just as well as it pulls along side. The lights are so bright that I had to use a flash to kill the intensity but the bulb holder I used actually shields my eyes from the direct view so it does not blind me at night.

Nice!

 Nice install -- looks great! Looks very bright and certainly will remind you (and others) of the turn signals are on! I did something similar as the dash lights are hard to see -- I just added amber LED's to the inside of my mirrors -- here's a couple of pics!

Yep, necessity is the mother of invention, lol. Bon travail mes amis. I had the orange strip LEDs on my last bike but they were not bright enough for my liking and never really caught my attention. I really like the look though.

:agree: I elected to use the amber strip. I had the RED LED's on my 2012 RT Limited and at night they were a little "bright". So I toned it down with these....still can see in the sunlight!
