Tricled Remote Frunk Opener Installed

Added the remote frunk opener from Tricled.
Works great!
Added my open momentary switch as the one they include is a little "meh!"
Its just under the right hand mirror, in the top side panel.

Very safe too. It uses a fuse attachment that attaches to the 2nd 10amp fuse in the right side fuse box.
It has a 10 sec delay on this relay that let's it work for only 10 secs after the engine is turned off.
You can use it when the engine is running and you can still use your key unlock too.

Great idea... I can't tell how many times I've needed to get into the frunk after I've just started the engine!

Yep. Bracket, wires, switch etc.
The only partly fiddly bit is adding the connector to the cable at the latch... Probably my big fingers! LOL!

$57 for the kit... Pretty decent

I guess I am a little confused about the remote frunk opener...Please note, I am asking questions from a honest lack of information and have no intent to seem rude or that I don't like the product.

I can open my "Frunk" with the engine running as I can with it off, but even at my height and size I still have to dismount from the Spyder to actually go into the "Frunk". So what does the remote assist you with? Is it more of a "farkle" or does it serve a purpose? Thanks in advance for any information provided.

On my '14 you have to push the key in and turn to open the frunk.
Isn't that the same on yours?
I can't push it in and turn it in without killing the engine first... The key isn't in the correct position to allow it to do that... Hence the remote function to allow it while the engine is running.

Saves turning the engine off when it's just been started and saving gas and wear & tear.

And yes, the added advantage of another farkle is a bonus! LOL!

Well actually you don't have to turn off the engine on the 2014 to open the frunk. Just press down like you normally would and turn the key. Works like a champ.

:agree: when you push in the key and turn it doesn't turn off the ignition this is typical on all spyders but hey it sure is nice to just push a button nice addition job well done :thumbup:

On my 2013 I can open the frunk while then engine is running, just do the same as if it's off.

Gotta say..!!

it's a nice feature for those who want the push button control. Don't have and don't want one cause I find it much safer to have the engine off if I am going rummaging through the frunk. Jmo...:thumbup:

I have never tried to open my Frunk while its running

But I might just try that trick now, just to see what happens.

I may find it handy on purpose. If not, no harm done.
