• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When riding Harley bikes, I had trouble getting to the valve stem, similar to the RT Limited rear tire. Anyway, Harley sells a valve stem extension that is about 6 inches long. You screw it to the valve stem on the tire and then you can easily check and fill your rear tire. Life made easy. Simply screw it on and off.

Not to hijack the thread ( but too late I guess) I love to visit the local Harley Dealer with my RT and leave it parked right up front. It gathers quite a crowd and the Sales folks who know me well (I was a Harley rider for 35 years) just throw the hands up is dispair! No Triglide sales today!

I drove my GS up to the HD dealer when I was considering purchasing the RT or the TriGlide. It would have been my trade in had I bought the TG. I also generated a little of a crowd to check out the Can-Am. I did not purchase the TriGlide and went to the 2010 RT-S instead.

This is really nice to know. I have been thinking that there should be an easier way to check the PSI and to add air to the rear tire. Very awkward.

Thanks for posting!

The Hawgsotres around me are a kind and forgiving bunch...
If anybody says anything; I just say, "Forgive me; I'm ignorant."
That shuts them up! :roflblack:

Or you can move it to the other side of the rim like I did when you replace your rear tire :yikes: :hun: :gaah: :agree:    :2excited: Mike

Bought RT at the Harley Dealer

I have a friend who bought her used RT at the local Harley Dealer Tent Sale. She got a great bike and a great deal. She had to show them how to start it before she could take a test ride.

I use the EZAir tire gage. It clips on the tire stem and has a pressure gage. Very easy to use. Here is the link:http://www.getagage.com/

:yes:This is the one I was trying to remember, it says you don't have to keep removing and checking the pressure each time you are at the gas station. I am gonna order the digital, thanks for this thread:thumbup: even though it is not the Harley one:D

At one time I owned 2 duallys. I had the extensions put on so I could air up the inside dual. So I looked at JC Whitney then went to Grainger and they had a 90Degree angle extension that you could attach to the existing stem.( they also would sell in a pkg of 10!!! Like hey folks only need ONE!!!) Problem with most extensions is the sprocket the belt runs on. can't have one put permanetly attached. The 90 would JUST ( maybe) fit in between the stem and the sprocket. Hopefully the 90 wouldn't vibrate the rubber part enough to break the "stem". Can't turn the rim around to have the hole on the other side! it's a BRP thing!!! Putting on then taking off the extension is a PIA might as well just hook up the air hose and get er done!! Couldn't find a METAL valve stem that MIGHT fit the rim. Get that then the 90 might work. BUT it would be a really CLOSE call!! Will check it out with the Master Mechanic Kevin and see what he thinks. I measured ( sorta ) and the 90 would have NO ROOM FOR ERROR!!! AND the sprocket is still in the way!!! Well that's my 2 cents. Maybe somebody can get a better stem thing like maybe a 45 degree?? anyway still have to hunt for the stem AND try to get er aired up. Back to the rubber extension and the hook up!!
