• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear tire balancing? How crucial?

Pete n Mike, do u2 do alignments on ur bikes? And is it possible to screw up the alignment when changing the rear tires? I did make some adjustment on one rear and the bike rides true, without any wear pattern up front. The other RT was aligned and now has some outer wear on the right front edge. Thoughts? And I have Altimax in the rears of both if I get Vredesteins up front -what tire pressure? The Altimax in the rear is 18-20lbs

No I don't Personally do an alignment . To get it correct I highly advise a Rolo alignment from soneone who knows how to use the equipment ..... I have swapped out a few REAR tires ( width Auto tires ) and that didn't change my REAR tire alignment ..... BECAUSE I first re-moved the Rear Shock bolt. You can more easily get the tire out with touching the adjusters .... ONLY lift the rear by placing a piece of wood WIDER than the width of the Rear Schock BRACKLET . DO NOT USE the bottom of the REAR shock to lift ..... If you have outside tire wear I think the alignment was done incorrectly. I recently had my Laser alignment checked because I did have a small amount of wear on both outside edges .... They said it was within specs, but I also had over 30,000 mi. on those front tires and nothing lasts forever ....I accept that ..... Both Peter and I like 15-17 on the front .... 17 psi if you ride aggressive or weigh a lot .... jmho .... good luck .... Mike
