Time Is Running Out

If you can, go for a long ryde this week. In Helena Montana, it is snowing (Sunday). How far until snow or too cold even without snow at your house. Me, I'm going on a very long ryde this week. Good luck and have a good trip. Just sayin'

Even in Germany the summer is over. Lots of rain and temperatures around 60° F. For me as a "fair weather biker" the season is over. :banghead:

On the other hand, we have been very hot for too long down here. Expect 95 degrees today. Too hot to for me to ride.

Just got back from a sixty mile ride in the country. Liked it so much, we are going to do another one in an hour or two.

90 degrees here today.

The riding season here is just starting. The day time temperatures have finally fallen below triple digits. Many months of good riding ahead..... Jim

Riding Season in Vermont

HI,

Today we had some nice weather, temps in the 70's and sunny.

But 12:00 midnight until 8:00 am( Monday) we have a frost warning out. The nights/and days are getting cooler. Nice riding season.

For me the riding season is coming to an end. I have 2 more weeks to take long rides, and to see the fall foliage here in Vermont. I think the fall foliage will be at it peak in Mid -October.

Before you know it we ( Adrien & I) will be on the sleds again( when the trails open up Dec. 15th).

If anyone has a chance to take long spyder rides before the spyder riding season ends in there area take advantage of the it.

Predicting 90's here in southern Ohio this week. We are leaving on October 6th for a ride down Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Going to spend a minute or two in Maggie Valley, maybe check out the rally. Then it's off to the west for a few weeks. Probably return to Ohio mid November. I never really put the bikes away as I ride year round if the roads aren't salted. Gerbings has a lot of my $$$ :roflblack:

I think I'll wax my skis----- heavy dusting of snow last night and maybe some more tonite. Ski resort above me hopes to open at the end of the month. Snowblower prep and :spyder2: winter storage /maintenance happening soon.

Where's your season pass ??

My friends and I get a Rose pass every year. If you see a bunch of tailgaters on the Slide side and you spot an Asian guy with either a bright orange or bright yellow pants, with either a pair of Blizzard skis or a GNU snowboard, stop by. Chances are that guy is me, LOL.

Since being back down south, I haven't run across a day that too hot to ride. 100+ heat index is still good for me. Every great once in a while it gets "too cold" meaning I just don't feel like putting on all the necessary stuff to ride in that weather. And I don't ride in cold AND wet conditions. Other than that, I'm good year-round.

Despite living in Ontario, Canada, I never completely put my bike away for the winter... there always seems to be a day or two here or there during the winter where the roads are bone dry and my snowmobile suit comes in handy for at least a spin around the neighbourhood! :)

Are we going to bet again who gets in the first ride next season? :roflblack:

I know exactly where that spot is.

I forgot, my helmet is bright orange. I wear it every time I go up. I’m off every Fri, Sat and Sun, but usually go up on Fridays.

PM me if you want to meet up. First round’s on me !!

I seldom ski the weekends but Friday I'm there for sure. I'm sure we have crossed paths as I've skied Rose for over 20 years. I'm sure there are a few more good days here before winter really hits but I'm up on Hw431 at 5600 ft so when town get rained on , I often get snow so no :spyder2:. Your right ---- we should meet up.
