• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time Is Running Out

Snow? What is that?

For you, it's what happens when the cable goes out on the TV. For us, it's pretty much the same thing, unless some shows up on the ground. Then we all stay home and hope the cable doesn't go out.

Don't have cable way out here. I don't even have TV no more. Pulled the plug on satellite about 25 years ago. I have a huge DVD collection.

I do vaguely remember what snow is like from spending several months of a winter in the early 70s in Korea. I have tried to avoid it completely ever since than.

Maybe 4 weeks left here in Iowa. Once we get into November we never know what the weather is going to do. Could be 60 degrees one day and snowing the next. I rented a storage unit for the Spyder yesterday. It is only 2 miles from my house, so I can ride until snow is forecast, then tuck it away. Nomad stays home in the garage. Time to start running stabilizer in the bikes in case weather turns nasty early.

I spent 3 years in North Japan - apparently it was perfect snow weather all winter as we got an average of 100+ inches/year. Then I went to Omaha NE and found out it was possible to be "too cold to snow". WTH? Did get a lot of ice storms which sucked WAY worse. When I was getting close to retiring from active duty, I just wanted to be someplace warm.
