• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time for a hiatus.

I am sorry guys and gals I thought it would never come to this, but the Spyder is gone. Nancy Kay had a major aneurysm burst in her brain which caused very delicate brain surgery. Without going into it very much, I need her more than the trike. After 65 years of riding, the garage looks kind of empty. But now I have to concentrate on getting Nancy well and home. Best of luck to all and please ride safe. I’ll monitor the site from now and then just to see who’s doing what, and God willing I’ll return one of these days. Take care all.

Peter

Just when you think you are bearing a heavy cross, someone comes along with a heavier one. May all go well toward her speedy recovery.

So glad she survived that! Speaking from experience (altho a long time ago now! ) it'll take a fair while & a lot of perserverence on behalf of both of you to get over all the impacts of one of those things; but as I'm sure the Doctors have told you, most who suffer a brain aneurysm blow-out don't even make it to the Hospital, so Nancy Kay's ahead of the game already! Sending    for you both, & extra Healing Thoughts for Nancy Kay!

Please don't be a stranger here tho. :lecturef_smilie:

Nancy was very lucky as we have a good fire and rescue service here in Lincoln, we have a wonderful trauma center and one of the premier Neurosurgeons of the Midwest visiting the hospital at the time Nancy went into the emergency room. Everything just fell together and I am so grateful. We almost lost her three times and the surgeon said she had a 25% chance of making it through the surgery because the aneurysm was in the middle of her brain. She is very lucky because she doesn’t remember the first two months after her surgery, or the pain she suffered before the surgery.

You both are in our thoughts and prayers. Make sure you take care of yourself also as the care giver (I'm speaking from first hand experience).

:agree: as I had a similar issue on Nov 24, 2018, which caused a stroke limiting my left side movement/usage. Every one is different, but I know of some of the difficulties. God Bless you both and the very best wishes for you and Nancy Kay.
