There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. The daily Adventures of a 2010 RT-S SE5 Ryder in the Mid-West

4/9/11*63F*Overcast & Sprinkling

UGH!!! So much frustration going on right now. Seems just about every where I turn, I'm running into a road-block with what I am trying to get done in time for SpyderFest. I had been waiting to get my 12K mile check-up done for my dealer to get my New DPS in so he could get it all done at once. But when it came in last month, I couldn't get the :ani29: in due to snow & transportation issues, so that one was used for another customer that was waiting, so now I'm still waiting. I called last week about just getting the 12K check-up done without the DPS, & unfortionatley the 12K check-up (if done by the book) is an 8 hour job, and their Spyder Tech. is on vacation next week, and they dont have enough time to get my :ani29: in :gaah:
I don't blame this on my DEALER, just circumstances and reality. Middletown Cycle is a really good dealer and they will do just about anything they can to help out a customer & I highly reccommend them to anyone around my area:thumbup: If I wouldn't had procrastinated when we had all the nice ryde'n weather & took it in then (instead of ryde'n) then I wouldn't be in my current situation.

I know all this will work out for the best, I have Faith, Damnit!!!

Since its ugly & sprinkling out, I might as well go ahead and get my oil-change started so at least that part is done. UGH, now I gotta clear out my garage so i actually have room to walk around and work on Teddys :ani29:
Just cause he doesn't have opposable thumbs, don't think he gets out of helping me:roflblack:

(I added a couple pics from yesterdays ryde)

There's nothing wrong with a trailer that doesn't match, especially for something like your camper. To me, a rig like that doesn't look out of place at all. I could see the need if it was the matching RT-622 trailer, but a camper is a camper. You seldom see an RV trailer that matches the pickup truck or SUV that is towing it. If it is any consolation, I changed colors on my RTS, but the camping trailer will remain black with a gray cover. :D
:agree:
My Little Guy is White and I thought about painting it but decided against it. It originally had blue and black graphics on it but I changed them to red & black to match my 08 SM5. Shortly after doing that I traded the 08 for a 2010 RT Silver. Decided you can't win and it really looks just as good the way it is. :2thumbs:.

4/10/11*It's HOT, almost 90F*think I got a lil sun burnt today

:2thumbs:What a WONDERFUL day to be a Spyder Ryder!:2thumbs:

Sun & high 80's, yup, I think Ole Man Winter has gone on vacation again til next season

Went up to Edgewater Race Track to meet up with another local SpyderLovers.com member (BMF) and watched him do a couple laps in his personal race car :doorag: & no, neither one of us took our :spyder2: on the track. I'll leave that to doc & the racer crowd out there :D

Then Teddy & I headed up to Sharon Woods Park to meet up with another SpyderLovers.com member  I stopped counting at 26 thumbs up & 15 pictures that I'm aware of & that's not counting all the ones on the highway that were matching speed to get a good pic of Teddy in action:ohyea:

We stopped by the crib to chill a bit & are about to head out again for some more fun in the sun, just without the sun part. I even wore sun-screen today, but be'n a red-head I'm fair skinned & burn easy:opps:

I gotta look into find'n some kind of sun-shade to install on Teddy's Spyder to keep him out of the direct sun. Being mostly black, he heats up really quick. Thankfully the breeze from Ryde'n keeps him from overheating. Last year, on our trip to Florida, I actually used those modular ice packs & kept them under his pad on his doggy bed, & that worked pretty well:thumbup: but I still want to find something to keep him outta the sun:D

Thanks

Kiddo has one of THESE.

Thanks for that link:thumbup:

How do you like it? How does Kiddo seem to like it? How much does Kiddo weigh & what size did you get for him?

Looks really interesting. Also, since we're using them on pooches on :spyder2:s, did you get the casual or the Sport?

Thanks again.
dav~

Kiddo will wear pretty much anything on her body, so it doesnt bother her. She weighs 8.5 lbs and is full grown. We got the petite size and the casual one with yellow trim. It fits her just fine.

Since Theodore wears various items of cool apparel, I m sure the West Casino Kidd(o) and him will make a great couple and will be a fashion plate extraordinaire!:D:2excited:

4/11/11*73F@5am*Storms on the way today

:gaah: It was so difficult to stop Ryde'n last night, with it be'n SO nice & warm. After we got home from our day trip meet'n other SpyderRyders yesterday, we stopped by the crib for some food & recharge time. I had forgotten from last year how draining the Hot Blazing Sun can be on your body, even with stay'n hydrated. But after a couple hours, I geared Teddy back up again & out we headed for some downtown cruise'n :2thumbs: & this was at dark time, so much more relaxing of a Ryde.

Im guessing we stopped around 11pm & headed back home to crash for the night. I so wanted to Ryde in this morning, but we're suppose to be get'n heavy storms today around 11am, so I'd be stuck in them on my Ryde home, which really isn't that big of a deal, been there, done that, got the Tshirt. But since I also have a car that needs to be kept in running condition just in case something were to happen to the Spyder, I decided it was a good day to cage it in :sour:

I was so :yikes: yesterday that I paid $4.10/gal. for Premium, that I even forgot to take a pic of the milage & gals to track my Avg. MPG :gaah: I know many ppl on here have said that they didn't buy there :spyder2: for the fuel economy & neither did Teddy & I, but this is start'n to crimp Tedsters Ryding resources :gaah:

You can tell I caged it in today. I'm still not awake *LMAO

Thanks for the info again. When I was reading your post, I kept thinking who you were talking about "Theodore":roflblack:I just didn't connect "Theodore" with Teddy cause that never crossed my mind in all the time I've had him. When I first got him, he was so small & fuzzy, he looked like a lil Teddy bear & at the time, that's the only name I liked that fit him  so it stuck. Now, granted, with him be'n shaved, he doesn't look anything like a Teddy bear :roflblack: But you should of seen me try'n to figure out "WHO" you were Talk'n about this morning. I was going back thru other posts you've made & everything :roflblack:Granted, I only got about 4 hours of sleep & it's only like 730am right now, but my mind just wasn't get'n it this morning:dontknow:

I wanted to thank both of you guys for stopping out to meet us at Edgewater yesterday. It was nice to finally have a face to associate with the name. Teddy is one cool dude. Looking forward to some good rides in the future. :2thumbs:

Thank both of you for relating your experiences:thumbup: One of the main reasons I love this site so much, is all the shared information and experiences out there. So you know, taking into account your suggestions, I've decided not to paint the camper, but instead, I'll just get matching color graphics for it:thumbup: That way, I figure it will be the best of both worlds. It will still be mostly white (good for coolness in the sun) and it will also tie-in color wise & match with the new :spyder2::2thumbs:

:agree: Teddy & I enjoyed meeting you as well & watching the drag strip was fun:thumbup: As I said, anytime you wanna Ryde, just let us know:thumbup:

It hasn't stopped raining yet :yikes: but suppose to start breaking up into scattered showers later today:( I put Tedsters enclosed carry'n case on the back of the Spyder yesterday & we went for a short Ryde down to our local painters to drop something off for him. Teddy hates being enclosed :cus: But at least he was able to get a short Ryde in yesterday:thumbup: hopefully it all breaks up by the time I get off work, and we can take a nice relaxing cruise around town tonight:2thumbs:

The Rain DID Stop, YAY!!!

I was asked to work over, so it was a 12 hr shift today & I felt bad for leaving Teddy alone with Skydie for so long :yikes: But it was actually Sunny & mid-50's when I got home  So Teddy got geared up in his Leathers & we went cruise'n.

Ever heard of the WORLD PEACE BELL? If not, I believe it is suppose to be one of the LARGEST BELLS in the WORLD & its located right here in Northern Kentucky, Newport to be exact:2thumbs:

How about Krohn Conservatory? I used to live a couple blocks away from there when I first moved back from Florida. I used to live on the 20th floor of The Edgecliff right on the edge of Eden Park & thats where the Krohn Conservatory is. When my Mom started getting really sick, and wheel-chair bound, I used to drag her thru the park to the Conservatory & we would get lost in there for hours and hours just look'n at all the beautiful flowers, waterfalls and they even have a tropical rainforest in there:thumbup: Its a Great place & I recommend it to anyone in the area. We stopped by for a photo up under the GIANT Butterfly :doorag:

Also took a couple pics of where I went to school as a kid. St. Johns was 1st-4th grade and seriously it was like Little House On The Prairy. 1st grade thru 8th grade & we only had 46 students in the entire school, all taught in the basement of the chuch, with nuns..... mean nuns nojoke

And also (when I went there) it was Donald E. Cline Middle School, but time has changed it into the Elementary school now :yikes:

:2thumbs:We had a nice ryde, made alot of ppl smile, many photo ops of ppl wanting me to stop so they could get a quick pic of the Tedster :2thumbs:

I asked my wife "Honey, you should slip into a Theodore tonite..*wink*", and she looked at me like I was nuts!!:roflblack:

So it ain't just you!!:D

4/13/11*42F on my way to work at 3:30am

Stayed over at work yesterday & they asked me to come in 2hrs. early & stay 2hrs. late today. Suppose to be clear & nice (upper 50s) today so I rode in this morning:thumbup: Even after only get'n 3 hrs of sleep, when I get on the :spyder2: I'm wide awake :yikes: (it's another story when I get off the :spyder2: tho:roflblack:) Its been the first chance in a long time for me to be able to get OT, so even tho I may not like being away from Teddy so long, it's a necessary evil for us to be able to survive & enjoy his :spyder2: cause as many of you know, or will soon find out, SpYder Ownership is not a cheap thrill :lecturef_smilie: but the freedom & the thrill that the :spyder2: provides is worth every penny IMHO

Thank you draboo, I needed that laugh

:roflblack:I'm very weary eyed today and when I read that, it picked me right up like a shot of espresso :roflblack:

4/14/11*42F on my Ryde in at 5:30am*Clear & Sunny Today in the 60's

Ummmmmm..... Working on so many things at once, but there's always a limit to multi-tasking:opps:

I'll have to update y'all more when I get home today & let you know what's going on, at least as much as I can at this time. Did I tell y'all that Teddy & I are planning a trip down to Cowtown this weekend to see what's all going on down there in preparation for SpYderFest:hun:

4/14/11*Continued

Continued so here's the update. An end of an era
I'm think'n it best to end this thread of our adventures on Teddy's 2010 RT-S as of this coming weekend. It's been a blast to share our adventures with so many wonderful ppl. I'm glad (& proud even) knowing that Teddy's Adventures have brought smiles and laughter to so many of his SpyderLovers fans. This thread has taught me much & I hope it has helped others in their efforts to learn about the Amazing Machine called Spyder.

I will keep this thread going for our road trip to Cowtown this weekend, but I believe that will be the end of our adventures with Teddy's 2010 RT-S :ani29:

Sorry to hear you're ending the adventures I know I have come to love reading about. Who knows though, maybe both you and Teddy will get back into it after a little break ;)

Have fun on your visit to Cowtown. If it weren't for having to work this weekend I'd come down and meet you and Teddy.
