• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stalling...

My 2012 stalled out 3 times today so I went to the dealership. They did a computer analysis on it and they think it's a cracked air intake hose? Anyone else experience this? Seemed like it was sluggish too while going through the gears.

Have replaced a number of hoses on our 2012's this year. Thank goodness for the extended warranties. Cracking due to excessive heat is the reason, especially the MAP (manifold Absolute Pressure) hoses controlling the intake pressure or vacuum to the throttle body.

This is not related to the 2013 heat problem but is a common problem on any machine that is cladded with tupperware as much as the Spyders are. Problem is mostly solved with the reversible fans on the new models but it is something we who ride the older twins will have to address more and more and these things deteriorate and crack.

Thanks for your response! It does seem that they do run hot. I know my right leg gets it's share of heat coming from the cooling fan. Guess it's something I have to deal with here in Southern CA

There have been some folks in here talking about replacing those lines, with silicon lines...

...They'll last a whole lot longer!
