Edit Again: Looks like NASA decided that the launch is to be held the following week and they would not move it up a week for the SpyderRyders so BRP is still going to have some sort of group ride but it just won't be to watch the Space Shuttle launch. :'(

Congratulations on becoming one of the first Spyder owners! Spyder riders are united by a common experience – the thrill of seeking new adventures! As an owner you are invited to join us for this exclusive event on Friday, March 7, 2008.

Event information:
Daytona Bike Week Owner Ride

Spyder owners are invited to join us during Daytona Bike Week for a BRP hosted ride. Owners will be treated to a catered brunch at the DIS Spyder display, followed by an afternoon group ride.

Where: Daytona International Speedway
801 W. International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach FL. 32120
Meet at the Spyder Demo Space (Below the SPRINT NEXTEL Tower, LOT 1)

Cost: FREE to current Spyder owners
Spyder re-fuel may be required and is owners responsibility

When: Friday, March 7, 2008

Event Schedule:
10:30 a.m. Owners arrive BRP Spyder demo site
11:00 a.m. Catered brunch with Spyder Specialist and Q&A
11:45 a.m. Depart toward Cape Canaveral to watch Shuttle launch
2:00 p.m. Arrive at Merritt Island (traffic permitting)
2:45 p.m. Space Shuttle Atlantis scheduled launch
3:00 p.m. Owner Ride returns to Daytona Beach
4:30 p.m. End of event

Who can participate: Current Can-Am Spyder owners who have taken receipt of their Spyder.

* Be 21 years old
* Wear a Helmet
* Wear closed toed shoes
* Wear long pants
* Wear eye protection

The only reason I said Sat. is because there may be local guys or gals that have to work Friday but could make it on Sat. :dontknow:

Looks like there is a slight problem with the date. Atlantis is sked to launch on 7 Feb, not 7 Mar. Just a heads up that the ride may well be to a different locus.

I reserved the room. Will probably go to Asheville Tues (4th) and spend the night with a friend and will meet ya'll somewhere Wed morning. Sounds like fun.
