There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Go ahead and add Leira (Dentin028) to the list. Although you might have to see her in the hotel unless someone can spare a wheelchair...
Seriously... anybody got a spare wheelchair that she can borrow? The venue doesn't have scooter rentals and she can't be walking the whole thing in crutches! Please PM if you have one we can borrow on Saturday.

I have called them and because the IMS Venue did not contact them, their rentals are not going to be avaliable at the Convention Center. Also, they want us to rent a scooter for 3 days minimum because they are closed Sundays. I have called other services and are giving me the same issue and we are leaving Sunday so we only need a wheelchair/scooter for Saturday.

Update: Found a company that will take care of Leira and works with events. So the search has ended. Anyone needing to get a scooter rental at the Dallas Convention Center contact them: http://www.readyrentalmedical.com/index.html

Thanks, but since these are charities, I think that people with a lot less than us need them so I would feel that I am taking advantage if I use them. :lecturef_smilie:

Saturday night dinner?

I was thinking it would be fun if we tried to get a group together for dinner Saturday night for those of you staying through Sunday.:bbq:

It looks like a good option would be Hoffbrau Steaks in the Dallas West-End area. It's close to the Convention Center and is in an area with other restaurants/bars if you want to choose another place. Prices are reasonable ($10-15/entree) and the menu has a lot of options.

The other option would be for pub food at the Owners Box in the Omni. I've eaten there and although the food choices aren't as broad, it's pretty good and has a ton of TVs if anyone has a game they don't want to miss Saturday night.

What say you?

Up for anything Faran, although steak sounds pretty good. We had planned to go to eat Saturday night anyway and the more the merrier! Looking forward to meeting everyone. Will be at the show on Saturday.

Great ideal

So now we need to know a general head count for those who are down for the dinner. How about each person answer these few questions in a reply to this thread and we pull it all together tomorrow afternoon:

1) what time would you like to all meet up at the spyder section of the show? (Give a range of two hours that is good for you unless anytime is good)

2) what time would you like to meet for dinner(two hour time frame again and we will take average time

3) including yourself, how many people will come to dinner in your party? Being a Saturday, seating may be at a premium at the west end so a RSVP may be necessary.

My answers...

1) anytime is good for me, but I was thinking of being at the show by 1pm CST and stay a couple of hours max(wife is pregnant so she won't want to walk around to long)

2) anytime for dinner is good for me. I say we go with what the consensus is from those traveling from afar

3) two people in my party( me and the misses)

1):agree: Except that my wife with her knee injury has little mobility. However we are planning to be there all day.
2) :agree: We are staying in town so anytime is good.

1 plan on being there all day

2 anytime for dinner

3 just the 2 of us

1. Owners gathering starts at 2pm on Saturday so anytime before then sounds good.
2. Maybe early dinner would be better with a large group? 5:30-6:00 is considered early in Dallas!
3. me and my sister
