Still concerned about the lateral forces on the Spyder compared to two wheelers. The site says they use a 50 lb spring catch to lock the handles in place. On curves, passenger would still have to brace with the grab rails as 50 lb will likely be too weak to stay locked, especially with a passenger bigger than the passenger they show in their photo.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My wife saddles up on the divers seat first and then slides back to the passenger seat, so stationary arms would great and make her feel even more secure. They could even have something to grab near where your hands rest as well as a cup holder. Anything for the wife.

No - don't think I'd be interested. But it appears they have been making product for a while. Like so many other options, not everyone would want/need this product.
I find it great that the company is looking to add our motorcycle to their product line.:thumbup:

I've got an idea, let's further add to that and create a high chair like thing, where we strap the passenger in and give them a bib with a little table to eat while they ride? Well, Tatt2r has his strong feelings about windshields, and I have them about Lazy Boys on the back of motorcycles! That goes for BMW LTs, Goldwings, and some Harleys. If your passengers can't handle hanging on, leave them at home. Nobody should be able to fall asleep on a motorcycle! A topcase or backrest is one thing, but an armchair is another thing entirely. JMHO

My husband is lazy. He wants to be comfortable and entertained on the back of the Spyder. Comfy husband = more riding time for me. So anything that makes him ok with skipping the car is good in my book. Just picked up a Starcom1 for the entertainment part (Bluetooth Scala units just weren't doing it for us). I think that well designed armrests would help him with comfort.

You will love the Starcom1! Also, I have to conceed that if the choice is riding alone or having your spouse along but making the motorcycle ugly is the choice, I would go with the spouse every time. I hate traveling without Nancy, but was thrilled when she got her Spyder so I didn't have to do "two-up" anymore.
Still......armrests and stereo speakers on a bike rub me the wrong way. Guess that's also why there is no Lazy Boy in our living room, either. :joke:

Love the idea as an addition to my BRP backrest, but would have to see a conceptual drawing to determine how well it works with the Spyder - form, fit and function - before I'd commit to using them.

I paid a bundle for the BRP rack and backrest, but at least it's effective, comfortable, and I feel, safe and it fits the lines of the vehicle.

I agree. that's why this survey was taken, now the manufacturer can determine if it's a worth while project to tackle, I would expect if something was made for the Spyder it would follow the form of the Spyder otherwise it would be like adding an Agusta Brutale gas tank on a Harley. As for the $$$ ?
