• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Armrest Survey, How many riders have Love Handles?

I would like to ask the members of Spyder Lovers to take a moment to check out this new product being devoloped for the Spyder.
The manufacturer is asking how many SPYDER RIDERS that have the BRP BACKREST would be interested.
If enough interest is shown then they will proceed in manufacturing an armrest for the Spyder, which will fit onto the BRP backrest, and follow the flowing designs of the Spyder.

Check out their current armrest @

:yikes:

You got my vote, Cool beans :spyder: Only if I had a passenger most of the time, then yes.

OK...so I may have love handles...but they're attached to my body! :roflblack:

But seriously, I would not be interested in this mod.

When I first saw the BRP and Corbin backrests, my immediate reaction was they needed armrests. However, this product looks too geometric compared to the flowing (organic?) lines of the Spyder.

I am not against the idea, but from what I see of their current product, I don't see me purchasing one. The unit would really have to flow with the backrest and the rest of the Spyder. This design would not work for me.

Count me in. I like the idea of turning it into a luggage rack.

Not really something I would get -just because I don't have many passengers and already have the GIVI topcase--- but I like the idea of converting to a luggage rack!

They will need to make it much sleeker if they want to sell to the Spyder crowd.

My wife would love some arm rests as she liked them on my brother's HD... But not really sure I like the look of any I've seen done on the Spyder.

Also, I'm curious as to the safety. The passenger grab rails are there for a reason, and having a passenger getting too comfy back there is a recipe for disaster... potentially anyway.

I think they are a good idea and a good option. Like many mods, some like and some do not. If they were available, I'm sure a lot of people would get them...

More options are better for the Spyder!

:agree:

Have thought about that type of passnger arm rest as an option for the :f_spider:; but I would like to see something like the goldwing has - that just does not look safe to me.

:shemademe_smilie:One of the reasons I traded for my Spyder was that the guy's wife wanted arm rests and none were avaliable. Can't say I like the look of these but then my only passenger is Pippy and she would not use them any way.
