From what I just read it apparently ran out of propellant and hit the water at about 300 mph about 100 meters from the ship. Shrapnel landed on the ship and if the cameras on board didn't get clobbered there should be some great video from them.

I cant wait to see what the aliens think when they find the Roadster. Comes with a name plate that states "made on Earth by humans." :yes::yes:
